I think nice choice for investment can be Phantasma, it was very high hype during ICO and now when market goes down it dropped almost to ICO price. It has a big potential in my opinion.

I would suggest you to split your investment in 5 token and hold for at least few month. Good option is IQeon - they already collected 2M and their ICO is at the end of the month. In general, gambling projects are profitable. i second that .... do the split. dont put your eggs in one basket. |

If you want to invest 500$ in an altcoin, you could do it in few different ways.
I presume that you dont have much crypto knowledge and in that position i will go for strong altcoin with already developed blockchain and big potential, Ethereum. In that way you keep risk low as this coin have all what it takes for a long run.

I know before you join here, you already know the most popular cryptos.
So try to invest in that, btc is now the most popular and trusted crypto so why not invest in that then the rest of your money, invest it in the coin, but before investing make sure to read all the information about that coin. Good luck.

I wanna invest to those coin who give us some profit but not ever to profit from any coin as well and few coin left our invest so we should know about it. we have to know right information then we could do it and I suggested you whether you can try privcy coin I think its better for 2018

Hello. I recommend you a very interesting project, #Blocnation. This has a great utility. They already have an established project that works since some like two years ago. The concept aims to facilitate the participation of people to public events, such as Tomorrowland. They have their own hand braces. Long term or short-term?
$500 is not so much, and for a long term investment in one of the top currencies, btc, eth. It wouldn't give a high return.
You could also gamble with an altcoin.
You can also enter day trading and rise steadily, if course there's the option of losing your investment regardless if the path you take. There's always risk on this turf.

The first thing you need to remember is that no crypto coin is a safe bet. Nearly every altcoin will be a risk. Assuming from your interest, you already know this and are ready to take the leap of faith required to invest in crypto.
As everyone on this question has already stated, 500$ is nothing when compared to BTC or ETH – both of which have skyrocketed as compared to a few years ago.
The best advice I can give you is that you should split your $500 in up and coming coins such as: IOTA, NEO, RaiBlocks, ARK and Doge.
