No doubt I would put at least $200 in btc to secure my investment a little, because if bitcoin usually goes up, usually the rest of the alts follows, then I would take advantage of it to get some ETH, maybe $100 can't be so risky with that amount, because there are high odds that you could lose everything, now with the other $200 you can be more risky, maybe invest in some alt out of the top 20 or some ICO that you see promising.

Hi there, no one can give you right answer. Best what you can do is split your 500$, pick around 10 coins from top 100-150 and make your research. I started invest before 2weeks,but Im watching crypto almost 1year and I think that now is pretty good moment make some shopping.) Anyway you must be prepared for losts, but if you will control your portfolio, you can make changes if some of your crypto will go wrong way. I started with 200$, split it in to 50$ invests and right now my favorit is Stellar and EOS from altcoins, but Im watching, reading a lot and I think, that for longer therm we can make some profits and most importanly we are supporting this crazy moneychanging industry, and its pretty cool I think.) If you have around 500$ to invest i would suggest you to go with cryptocurrency’s they are having huge potential right now. And if you need advice about which crypto to invest in right now i would suggest you something like Bitdegree or Cardano. I would not suggest you bitcoin because i would not give you much return when you have low capital.However Before investing, learn the fundamentals or you will lose your money. It’s extremely important to protect your investment from losses.

These coins will not give much growth. I would advise investing in coins not from the list of the top 10-100. There are good projects that are not included in the top but at the same time are promising. The price of such projects is now ridiculous.
