now many altcoin, sprung up between it all there must be in the place of investing other than bitcoin, all also have the same opportunity as bitcoin all promising profit
but why do more choose bitcoin as the place they invest?

We cannot deny the fact that bitcoin have a great reputation, also bitcoin I think is more secure to invest than on other altcoins considering that bitcoin was here for a long period of time.

In my opinion, the reason why people still prefer investing in Bitcoin rather than altcoins is because Bitcoin has proven that it is secured and its network effect. Most altcoins out there are very easy to manipulate, I'm not saying that Bitcoin cannot be manipulated but Bitcoin having lots of people that just holding it makes it is hard to manipulate the market of Bitcoin. When it comes to security there's no question that Bitcoin is still the best because the mining hashrate are distributed all over the world and it uses proof of work algorithm, unlike other altcoins that majority of hashrate distributions are obtained by mining pools. The popularity of Bitcoin is also one of the reason. |

Most of the people who I talk to on the street or the taxi driver or whoever do not know what is cryptocurrency. They do, however, know what Bitcoin is. It's like asking someone "have you tried this carbonated caffienated glucose syrup before?". They say no, but when you say the name Coca Cola, they say oh yea of course.
Also, Bitcoin is the only significant coin that was launched anonymously, right? Maybe that gives people hope, that it cannot be corrupted to the same extent that more centralized coins can.

As a person, it is practical to use or to invest in a coin which earns the trust of many people just like bitcoin, so for me I won't waste my time in some coins, but still trading as well in some altcoins just like Ethereum, most of the people were just wise in investing and they want the assurance so they are choosing bitcoin.

they choose bitcoin Because when it touched down the all time high value there will be a good return from it . But unfortunately the price now is decreasing , for sure more holders will evacuate to neither altcoins to obtain more profits cause i think no one will stay hold in bitcoin while they losing profit. Haha |

its the first . its stronger . its big volume trade in market and its already giving many time proof bitcoin had potential thing in internet market as crypto currency i think bitcoin achievment get $15k in 2017 its big achievment yet . so i believe bitcoin can more than right know.

Advertisement, that is the reason. Bitcoin reached far more than any altcoin had reached and so the reason why many are investing in Bitcoin. As investor people wanted to invest in the most stable and well supported investment and among the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin fits it. And you won't invest in a cryptocurrency that you do not know right? And that is another reason why more and more are into bitcoin than altcoins. |

Bitcoin is really trusted currency and everyone knows that the whole market runs on it. The market cap is so much now that it will never go anywhere until next decade is finish but again by that time we will have more investors into it due its popularity and long term benefits. For the alts, they are based on different projects which are being made as smart contracts over the specific blockchain (ETH, WAVE etc). In the long run we are not sure that they will be still present over the chain. They have got higher chances of spamming the ICO's and later part of the project development. So people choose to invest into the Bitcoin only. Me too for long term purposes. |

More people and investors chose and use bitcoin because they know that this bitcoin is ideal for a long term investments. Many promising altcoins also offers great chances, but bitcoin is forever. |

Bitcoin is considered the most stable asset. Maybe it does not grow as fast as Ripple and Etherium in 2017, but it still shows good results in long intervals. |

because all these altcoins that are being created non-stop are not good projects. they are mostly shitty projects (hence the name "shitcoin") with nothing to offer and the rest of them also struggle with many issues which prevents them from gaining any real adoption and staying 100% speculative tool for traders to play around with.

them I suggest you to invest in top 100 coin. all of them even have a nice project and better than bitcoin. bitcoin is actually a Ponzi scheme that the reason its increasing drastically over a year and its drop so much. people are afraid with this bubble. imagine how many people are loss opportunity and money when investing on this ico. |

People choose bitcoin over any other alternate currencies because of tha fact that bitcoin is where it all started. The path of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency is paved by bitcoin only. All other currencies are in a way or other insipired by bitcoins mechanism only. Thus this thing creates a sensd of trust among its users.
Also the high price value is another major reason why people want to invest in here and get returns in less time duration compared to elsewhere.

Actually bitcoins are the backbone of all the altcoins and also we mostly trade with each altcoin with respect to bitcoins and convert our bitcoins to the desired altcoin. Bitcoins actually gives good returns and also good profits. Bitcoins also gives us various platforms to earn more money by investing/etc. Also anytime we earn some altcoins we convert them to bitcoins and also due to the high price, bitcoins go more popular amongst each of the altcoin. some or the other day, altcoins will too come up as the cryptos markets is simultaneously rising and giving good profits for each cryptos related individual. |

People choose btc by the same form as the dollar and the euro is one of the most traded currencies in the world, simply because they trust, because the value of the currency is in the trust in which it is attributed to it, and in this case the safe haven of altcoins and the btc itself.
