it is true, now all prices are down. but I have a principle, do not sell before you get a profit or at least from the same price of the token you buy. of course i will hold

Keep on holding. It's often said as a joke but honestly step away from the screen for a bit, you will drive yourself crazy checking on your portfolio performance too often during a dip.

If you want to sell then sell, if you wanna hold then hold, if you gotta dump being a weak hand then do that.
One thing that I've learned the hard way; whenever you buy any coin wait at least a month before deciding what to do next, if you buy and hold altcoins for just a month you'll know about the secret within crypto market

Should we hold on to altcoins which we have invested and see the price dropping every moment or it will be better to sell them and buy it again when the value pumps ? I have already lost a good margin of profit with the ripple I don't want to make the same mistake with the Lumens which I Hold so should I hold on or sell out ?

Well it is depending which currency you re going to hold or sell. Some altcoins have good potential and experts expect that their prices are going to increase sooner or later like Ethereum and Ripple, while other ones haven't long term value, so if the price is good you can sell even with small profit.

Holding or selling will always be depending on the season, just monitor the movement of market before you decide on different situation either you sell or invest. There are different speculations that are being created by professional analyst and you can grasp some ideas on their articles when to buy or sell at the right time.

Coinmarketcap.com data screens all coins as in red. Each coin value has gone down drastically. Really a worst situation now. But is the right time to buy more altcoins. Analise the growth trend of top coins from this site and invest as much as you can spliting your investment into each you choose. Be sure of gaining more profits this year if you invest today.

I am sorry to here your loss. But do not sell what you have now as you can see the price is falling down to earth. What you can do better is to buy more altcoins if possible or if you still wish to invest in any of the top coins. This is not the correct time to sell your coins. For damn sure the value is going to be rocket speed increasing few days. This sudden drop might be due to a shutdown of any mining pool or a big exchange or trader stopped their business? No ideas. Lets wait for the news. Hold the coins.

Most of the people who are losing their profit in the market are always because of panicking when the value of their coins is decreasing, it usually happens on the newbies, they tend to sell their coins at the lowest price when there is a downtime in the market, learning through your mistakes will be always the best way to become a better trader.

If you sell your altcoins now, then there is a chance that you will not have time to jump on the train and you will have to buy the same altcoins at a more expensive price. My advice is to hold your altcoins. When your altcoins grow strongly in price again, don't forget to fix profits. Wink

There are certainly some altcoins I would be dumping right now, but I think overall you shouldn't overreact to altcoin drops that are caused by BTC drops. If you believe in your altcoins for reasons other than "it's a crypto", then drops due to BTC drops shouldn't matter much.

Is today it makes sense to sell? Even if your portfolio is bleeding, you should not sell coins. Wait until it gives you a profit. And this day will surely come.

Of course, HODL! The prices are very likely to rise again. You just have to be patient.
This is a requirement for Crypto. You do not buy high and sell low.

Still some people sold their holdings at a loss, I see no reason why they have to do that knowing that their are holding a real great coin. Emotion is your biggest enemy here, if you can’t control it and you don’t have patience you will loose money. Just hold on it, believe on it because all coins will pump again for sure.

It's all up to you, your judgement matters as to when to sell the coins that you have invested in. If you trust a coin, you should know when to sell, hold and buy back. Usually, same shit happens, altcoin price is just like a cycle, pump and dump. You just need to be updated on the news, make your own research, so you can make clear decision as to what to do.
