I don't think it's that categorical.Several times invested in ICO and never had any problems with it and went to the big plus. The main thing is to be able to choose projects

This is the whole problem. it is in choosing a quality and perspective project that a real investor needs, but it's very difficult to do the analysis yourself.

I think that it is not necessary so categorically about this issue and simply should carefully study all the projects you want to invest your money. And it should be done long enough

I think it is connected with any business, not just the ICOs. Do you want to give the money to a man who only promises to you in the future give something for them?

Yes, but now no clear definition of what a product. Many of the ICO just collect money under the further entry into finished projects. Because this is a complex question.

No, ..no this is the wrong assumption of advising that not invest in ICO. But I think everybody should invest in ICO but think before which company they are going to invest. Always track the whitepaper of the company and read thoroughly about their project and analyse the SWOT analysis and calculated risk if the project is viable in long-term or not.

I was wondering, why a lot of projects don't have such an important thing for a successful ICO as a product.

When a company has a product it means they have it to develop. In such case, a company shows why they need ICO and how the company will be growing. What is more, there is more trust because a company has experience in a field they are working.

For example, KickCity company that exists two years. KickCity an event platform that generates revenue and has a Helsinki government grant. KickCity needs ICO to make business bigger and to become a decentralized platform where every user is rewarded for ticket promotion.

On the other hand, no product ICOs can prove their success just in theory. There is no proof base that product will be developed and will be working right.

In such unstable industry as ICO everything has to be under control. The product is one of the things that shows the campaign is not a scam. That is why I believe it is better to invest in ready-made products ICOs.

The availability of a work product from the company raises more confidence, but also needs to analyze how useful the product will be to society.

True, a lot of analysis are also subjective and very easy now for projects to cover up their deficiencies as they know what people look for, prototype, solid team (easy to just put up fake experience on linkedin), idea etc. It's still a wild wild west in the crypto world if we have to be honest

i think about half the investors population and approx 90 % of those who invest money anywhere would have invested in crypto either a satoshi or full block and big ones maybe the industrialists.

To be honest putting a prototype is not enough this days, seen a few failed projects with prototype. easy to spend 500k to build a prototype / marketing in order to raise $20m and then no updates provided on the project..

It is for much safer side, and that's much an assurance that the project will last long, but there are still some ideas that needs to be funds more to do, but we must make sure how legit and sincere the teams are. And we will love to see how they enthusiast they are in making the project real.

It is true, but on the other hand if the team and project are good enough, why don't them continue developing it? I believe that good team is a key factor.

ico for the participants is as an investment but ico for companies in addition to investment as well as advertising to introduce products issued as well as a tool to attract capital from outside the company so I think every ico must have an interesting product that will be followed by many participants ico

It's definitely a great idea to not put money into something which has no perceived value you can see. Even an ICO with a product could be a scam, if the product is bad or is not even created or planning on being created. It could be like a lot of this kickstarter campaigns which promise something and just completely under-deliver.

It is a good analysis because ICOs tokens are based on the real value of a project so why then do anybody have to give his hard earned cash to a project without full understanding of the product or service been offered.

Yeah your correct and I agree with your statements above. It's better to invest tin ICO's with a good platform and successful reviews not on the non product ICO'e project to avoid scam and loss money.

Almost 90% of ICO have no working products when they launch a crowdsale for the public and they add this on their roadmap. Yes, it is better to invest in an ico with a working platforms or products to gain more trust in their investors.

Yes, i'm absolutely agree with you. I think it's very important to create a great product, because there are many good icos out there as well, and we need to have something superior to be better than them so people will choose your ico than others.

They probably have their own strategy and way to gain the investors.
However, I myself will prefer to choose the ICO with ready-product as presented on their website and whitepaper clearly. It will become one fo the ways to measure that the investment in the ICO project will be more promising or not.
It is also important to avoid some scams. But I don't state that all ICO with no product are scams.

I think there has to be a fine balance, never say never but with the current trends and plethora of project it makes sense to see some evidence that the team has the capability to deliver what has been promised at least a test alpha of a product.
