Investing in a company without a product is a risk.  But there are successful companies without a product.

I believe that no on should invest if there is no product of ICOs. The reason is that there is higher risk of failure. Most likely this could be a scam. And you're investment will only be taken from you with no guarantee of return. Never trust an ICO that does not have any product or sense in their goals and objectives.

The product is a very good marker to investor that this project probably will be. But most of teams not ready to pay own money for the project they will going to do.

I don't think we should be too disappointed with ICO, which is still a new way to raise funds.
Most of the time, participating in ICO is still a good way to make money.

there are different stages of the company. First there is only idea. At that stage, company can raise the funds, but the amounts should be substantially lower than with working product.

Your argument is too one-sided on this topic, we may lose the key gems currently under the radar, but we can see most of these ICOs do not have prototype / MVP, but they still do pretty well in the future, because the product is ready to use ICO is one of our considerations to participate in it, but it sometimes shows that ICO is really ready to invest or promote. Investing in ICOs without products may be too risky, because we do not know exactly what makes investment considerations in such ICO.

If ICO’s don't have any working products usually they just  a scam, how  to proliferate ICO's without the working products they are just playing investors money until such time  that  the value become Zero. Working products is very essential in any project because the profit of the said project will  make  coins more valuable.

while i have no problem with investing only in an idea if the idea/Team/Roadmap... is reliable i think in this moment there are too many projects out there and to get me to put money on a project you need at least an MVP. i will not invest in a project with no Prototype/MVP/Product.

Exactly, I stick to invest in ICOs with MVP, but currently there aren't that much products on ICO market.

I agree that investing in a company without a product is a very big risk.  But there are good companies without a product.

When it comes on ICO's, product is very important because without that you don't know where you are going through, i mean product is one of the most important things that can measure a good ICO's because sometimes they are scam if they don't have product to provide. Yes it's true that do not invest in a ICO's without any products because it usually did not succeed and almost is a scam project,so you should choose a project with a real products because it's one of the paths to being a successful project and this is the first one analyze by investors to invest in a project.

Basically, I agree with you. You need to invest only in the project which is likely to become very popular. That is why you must study the product of the project first of all. But sometimes shit happens and projects with a good product die.

I still don't get it.are we talking about a physical product or just a product? Because service also can be an ico product.and how about exchange ico ? They also don't have physical product too.and even some of them start without MVP.but a lot of them gain big success.
If we talk about product as general word,I think all ico come with a product idea.our part is finding out are they product gonna be a success or not.

Indeed, there are many scams in ICO in 2018, but this is not the reason you refuse to invest in ICO. You should improve yourself so that you can choose the best ICO, ICO profits are the highest.

What can I say is that product is the most important part of the project for me. I do not invest in ICOs without a ready-made product and only with airy promises to do it in the future. So, in my opinion existing of the product increase the chances of the project to conduct sussesful ICO and prosper in the future

I was wondering, why a lot of projects don't have such an important thing for a successful ICO as a product.

When a company has a product it means they have it to develop. In such case, a company shows why they need ICO and how the company will be growing. What is more, there is more trust because a company has experience in a field they are working.

For example, KickCity company that exists two years. KickCity an event platform that generates revenue and has a Helsinki government grant. KickCity needs ICO to make business bigger and to become a decentralized platform where every user is rewarded for ticket promotion.

On the other hand, no product ICOs can prove their success just in theory. There is no proof base that product will be developed and will be working right.

In such unstable industry as ICO everything has to be under control. The product is one of the things that shows the campaign is not a scam. That is why I believe it is better to invest in ready-made products ICOs.

I really appreciate your point regarding Ico can't be the best because many  rezone. Any how not all Ico can't delivery the the project massages and some project managed very well and winning

I completely agree, I like having a product that I can see and play around with. That way I can work out if it will be successful and what it's weaknesses are. Anyone can write an amazing white paper with a great idea, but putting it into practice is something else...
