github is missing all qt stuff ...

QT files are being adding to the Github, have not a clue how they did not sync. Thanks for noticing.

Hello CaptChadd,

It seems that both of your commits does not added or changed any files ... Just look at github history :

"0 changed files with 0 additions and 0 deletions. "

I know, I have tried it countless times and it just will not add the files, it is saying on my desktop client that they have synced though.

As for the pool, I have contacted the owner but have heard nothing back. I might have to remove the pool from the OP and website.

That's disappointing to hear.  I was leaving coins in that pool to reduce the transaction costs of constantly moving them into my wallet. I figured it would be better to move them in a few large lumps rather than many small lumps.  I wasn't thinking about the risk of leaving the coins in the pool should the pool cease operating unannounced.  Won't make that mistake again.

I contacted him and he said sorry its not coming back online and there wasnt many coins in it. Unless i see otherwise I think he just stole our coins. I had 9000 in there.

The pool http://exc.cryptc.me/ is down and looking like for it is not coming back online. To make things clear, I did not run this pool. I only develop the EXC client.

Hard drive and wallet failure was the message I got back, that was all.

As it stands I would use the other two pools and use the AUTO payment feature. No-one should be holding a large amounts of coins on a pool or any service, if you cannot afford to lose them.

I hold most of any coin on my rigs at home, USB sticks, CD's, Micro SD cards etc and no-where else, that way if I lose them, I only have myself to blame.

Thanks.

Yes, he just stole our coins. I had over 20,000. So, I'm done with EXC. Good luck to everyone.

Pool is down. I spoke with the management of my dedicated hosting and it seems it wasn't a "hard drive failure", they legitimately decommissioned the incorrect box on the rack.

Unfortunately for everyone here including myself, I had not made backups of the wallet yet. The pool won't be re-opening, as I've closed my account with them. You can check the wallet address out (the address you've been getting your autopays from) on the blockchain and verify that the funds are stuck in that wallet, unrecovered.

They didn't have any backups?

And that is a big mistake.

And is why all pools have an autopay feature. Having 20,000 coins in any pool is having a lot of faith and trust in that service, I don't even trust the exchanges with that amount of coins.

As it stands there are two other pools, with one of the pools actually run by one of the exchanges, that seems like a safer bet, just please don't store any coins on the exchanges and use the autopay feature.

Stopping supporting Extremecoin just because one pool has shutdown, a pool that I do not run or control, is a little "extreme", I was not the one who lost your coins, I have made this coin as fair as it can be development wise.

Thanks

https://coinex.pw/mining/pools/EXC

This looks like a safer pool to use than the one that went down, as it is connected directly to an exchange.

I will be mining on this pool, just please don't store all your coins on it.

I hope you never try to run a pool again, as you're not very good at it and just fucked many people over.  BRAVO!!!!

Regarding Lollaskates exc.cryptc.me pool that has disappeared :

I also had coins on the pool, 6000+, my entire EXC holding, except for a kind gift I received for my help on this coin.

Tally of lost/stolen coins spoken for so far:

Adeel06 ?
boxuser 200
bitezze ?
Queegeh ?
mill0601 9000
bandjhughes ?
Jaden 20000
bluestang ?
YukonCoinelius 6000

TOTAL = 35200 EXC ++, which is 2.5% of the total mint (1380000) as of block 6900 on Sept 10.

Anyone else with lost coins or ? noted above, post or PM me, and I'll update the tally with your amount (anonymously if you prefer not to be listed), so we can understand what % of the coin has been lost/stolen here.

I've PM'd Lollaskates to pursue the options of 1) follow up with the hardware provider for data backups or credits,   2) reimburse users by purchasing the coins on exchange, and 3) arrange partial settlements or payments over time with the users, if the lump sum is a hardship.

His story/position so far appears to be: hardware accidentally “decommissioned”, “we” all lost from this snafu, not my fault, darn the luck -- i.e. zero personal responsibility.

If there's no ethical awakening here in another day or two, I'd imagine some users will look to give Lollaskates negative trust feedback and scammer tag.

Can someone confirm the pool payout address CaptChadd posted, PGyfub9FA8aa1chMRXyXvrwQpVJswPBRBJ, and what the balance there is? (Note that even if the balance is there, we have no way to confirm whether the wallet/keys are really lost; Lollaskates could just be saving them for later.)
