Someone was saying they sold 6000 to buyers in China already.. Any other users from China confirm this? If so can someone post the wallet address they wanted payment sent to for China customers? China buyer is using same BCH wallet too? What makes you think this is their wallet address? I'm in the US and thats not the address I sent my funds to. I think its pretty obvious they use some service that collects the money. Everyone has to send to a unique address, otherwise how would they know you paid? Someone earlier posted the wallet address. They followed funds from a purchase to that address. I'm assuming they create a wallet for you to send to, you send it, then it all gets sent to single wallet. So if China got 6k payed by RMB, and everyone else used bch, then we are looking at over 10k units in first batch. That is 13x what the current network is, so once first batch gets hooked up and mining, profit is immediately 1/13th of what calculators show. So last night it showed about $500/day....Reality will be $38/day, or $1100 per month assuming no others come online. Lets assume they do another 10k units in a month, now we are at $550/mo....Do it again next month, and we are at $225/mo. So yeah, if they drop another 10k batch in next 30 days, you might get ROI in 3 months, another 10k after that, and..... you math is way off, remeber they have been 'testing" these units for weeks most likely , so the true hash rate rise is probbaly closer to tripple or double. Then factor in we are in a major crypto price crash, in 14 days when/if these arrive you will be looking at close to double price wise on sia and verge so I would say you will still earn around $300 a day for the first month of that first batch after that who knows |

Bitmain is in an all out war right now with competitors. These are not stupid people. They put on this benevolent front, but it's clear they are very ruthless. I don't admire that but I understand it. Just like Amazon, Google etc. These are the ways of today's greedy and commercially obsessed world. It's palpably ironic to see this play out in the very space that was invented to change exactly that. Conclusion......Human kind is hopeless.

When I looked last night, sia network was only running at 675 TH/s total....Wouldn't 5k units show much more? |

Yeah... I wouldn't touch this thing with a 10 ft pole, same as the D3. Even in this industry, a 5 day ROI is not believable. |

SO... What you are saying... :-) Its not going to be profitable after the ROI but you will make your money back in quick enough time and the rest is gravy..... So if its 500 a day, for 8 days, and progressively tapers off to 50 a day... and at 50 a day it is still higher than bitcoin. Yes, risky move, but like when I got the call at 2 am, I was told if you get batch 1, great, if not, never look at it again. 12 second decision on this might be awesome, but it might be bad. But I know one thing, I will at least get my money back, either by running it, or selling it to another sucker locally who knows less then me!

What ever happened to bitcoin when S9's were introduced? or s7, s5? etc... bitcoin is still around, yes difficulty is higher, but the same people said the same thing about that too.
Why would any company spend so much on R&D for the A3 knowing that it will flop? Doesnt make sense. Better yet, why would that other company make and plan to release asic for blake2b later this year? Oh becuase there is no market for it... right?

I asked that a few pages back... seems kind of random. Someone else here suggested maybe its to f--k with the team behind Sia, who is also making miners? Seems petty to spend so much money on miners just to funk with a competitor... but with only ONE coin to mine on this machine, who knows? At least with D3's one could play an Altcoin game and mine a few other random things with it. This is literally a brick once profitability dies, and you don't even get to play with anything else. Just seems weird. Oh well... they still make $10M selling them. |
