Sell all alts for Bitcoin while it's down?

I don't think it has any sense because almost every alt is currently at low too. As we all know alts lose their value much faster than BTC. So I'm sure that we don't need to sell alts for BTC atm.

Although that might be a good and profitable move in the future. What I don't totally agree on is the "sell all" move. I think that you can try to dispose off those coins that are proving to be non-profitable or at least won't be in the next few months, especially if you're only eyeing for a short term investment. Bitcoin is always the powerhouse in the cryptocurrency market and holding it for future use is never a bad idea, I think. However, there are still lots of promising altcoins in the market that could be considered for a semi or full long term investment that could yield good profit. To support this idea, I think one should get all information available to him in the internet or through news platforms and apps to give him the best possible scenario on whether to hold or sell some assets. For that, Daneel (daneel.io) could be considered because it can give you analytical market data showing the current trends and changes with altcoins and also bitcoin in the market. It also has this function of showing you market emotions which are consolidated through the feelings of people and how they judge what's happening in the cryptomarket, plus their opinions on what moves to better follow to avoid loss.

selling all altcoin is not a good solution for us because we only get lost too much money while bitcoin price is down too deep. the best thing that we can do is still hold the altcoin until the price increase back. but if you want to hold bitcoin only then you can sell all of your altcoins. I think we need to be patient for a while and I am sure that the price will be back normal again.

For me I will not sell alts for bitcoin while its down because every altcoins is a potential that can even compete bitcoin just like ethereum with a lot of potential now, we just hold for now or may be we buy the deep of this altcoins and bitcoin this time.

If your Altcoin has not taken too much hit already,  and provided your Altcoin is not ethereum of course you can sell your Altcoin for Bitcoin.  If your Altcoin is ether however it will be a big mistake if you sell.

That's one consideration to think of, but I think that selling "all" is not a good move. In the cryptocurrency market, holding a diverse selection of coins help you to actually have more potential profit. Also, there are some altcoins out there that might yield good profit too, since there is an expectation in the market block that bitcoin would soon be stable and hold its current value for a while. Therefore, if you would dispose your altcoins to get bitcoin, you should also be ready and patient to wait until bitcoin gains traction and increases value again.

You can switch your bitcoin to USDT, its price is very stable to escape from big dumping.
But I suggest to be relax, big drops happened many time , it will lead the price to a new high.

You may sell some of your alts to fund your bitcoin investment but don't sell it all. Make sure to fund the opportunity of some of your potentials alts to comtinuously grow. We are risk takers and all are investments will be worth it in time.

I don't think that is a smart move mate. Selling all your holdings to buy one coin is not a good move in the cryptomarket because diversity is key. The more you have, the more chances of success so they say. Also, many news saying that bitcoin will be stable for a while is surfacing, thus, if you intend to dispose all your altcoins for future use and profit by holding onto your traded bitcoin, then that might take you a long time to get your return because of the trend bitcoin is showing right now. I think the better move is to get rid of those altcoins that won't give you profit short term and use them to buy bitcoins as a replacement long term investment. Hold onto the coins that may give you quick and easy profit.

Okay if you have an option to sell all the alt coins you hold and to buy a bitcoin instead I do strongly recommend you to do it. Pretty soon the BTC is going back to the top and you can hit a million.

I do not think there's any point in you selling all your altcoins and buying bitcoin because altcoin prices are also down, so there's no point in selling your altcoin and buying bitcoin (in my opinion)

if you sell coins that will potentially increase in price after this dump then you will be very sorry. so make sure that the coins you sell are bad coins.

I would hodl and not sell.  Selling is what is partly responsible for this big drop as panic gets in the new investor and they want to cut their losses.  Believe me, I do want to cut my losses but am taking the advice of several friends that have been doing this for several years and have made a lot of money.  Just hodl, dont panic and wait for a recovery.

Not a good idea actually. You should wait for yhe alts to increase their prices and then take the aim as much profitabe bitcoin as you want. But, dont go all the way, try  to save some of your alt coins for future purposes.

If you're holding decent top 100 coins,I think you will be alright. I do think that all the "shitcoins" and x20 or x30 pumped ico's will not recover.
