How big can the whole market grow?

Yeah, being realistic I wouldn't think anymore than 1 or 2 trillion. But in this market anything can happen

Anything is possible in the market as we know volatility is always happen. We can expect of a sudden huge of prices or we can expect of going down. Then, in this whole market a big chance to grow ofcourse but we cannot say for now how much it will going high if more than 1 trillion.

Hmmmm.  How big indeed.  Given the likes of Polytoken, who are looking to integrate old-world securities onto the blockchain, I'd hate to try and predict the long-term valuation - many tens of trillions without a doubt.  But for the end of 2018, I'll guess between 3 and 4 Trillion US$.

I only hope to see the total marketcap grow once lots of scam shitcoins gef flushed out. Then i would consider a healthy grow. For the real use cases crypto has provided as far as of now, very few coins have done this, the rest are they just to enjoy the ride and vanish eventually. Maybe we can get to around 3 billion in 2020 if the market growth is good based on what happened to the bull run last month that take the market capitalization above 800 million. In two more years most projects will have a working platform that can justify their big market capitalization especially if the project really changes how things work.

I think bitcoin will become billion dollar coin this year quite easily. I am expecting overall 5x growth this year. And possibly even 10x. All these ico coins will have working product in a year..

The current market cap is also looking bigger then it is. Projects like XRP or ADA who have locked coins away from the market or do not even have a working project yet are overblowing the market cap. Chainanalysis also found out that 4 million BTC are lost and can never enter the market again. So basically even the BTC market cap is smaller then it looks now. There is a lot of room for growth.

more than hundred trillion IMHO, but its happen when mostly people arround the world are using cryptocurrency for their needed. everything is so posibble right now, if cryptocurrency has more attention in the next day it will be bigger.

There will grow over a trillion by the end of 2018 I have no doubts. If one of the big players like Ethereum, EOS or ArcBlock make a breakthrough there would grow up to 5 trillion easily. I think 2018 will be the year for blockchain innovations and will see many great projects to be released.

When the time South Korean Government implemented ban on crypto trading site, On that moment complete crypto currency marketcap is fall in the ground so waiting for the it recover as now bro.
We people are invested on the bitcoin and altcoins in the market for the long time but we missed and fear because of this recent dump. First you all guys understand that bitcoin and altcoin market will recover in the world. Then invest on it without fear. If you buy a concern coin continously with the large amounts you will get more value in the price graph. That is the thumb of price changes.

I suggest you to compare the actual capitalization with the capitalization of corporations (for example apple is only 900 billions), we are still little compared to the world. This year I hope the market to get at least at 2-3 trillions

Like you have said, no one can definitely know, but trust me mate, with the way things are going, it is going to be huge. Just within few years, check out where we are, then I can imagine what the next few years would end up being like. I have the feelings though that before the end of this year, the total market cap should possibly be close to a trillion or even go past that.

There is still a lot of potential to grow up in the marketcap in long term! My prediction is that we are goig up for the next 3-5 years a the whole market will profit from that guys! Bitcoin is just taking a small break right now.

Realistic is a definition that cannot properly exist in a market that is still so new, still finding its way, and still unable to tell if it will be around next year, or even next week. We still do not know what the limits are, either top or bottom.

So far, anything is possible. It can be zero as easily as it can be 100 trillion. But maybe those marks are too far into the future. For the next coming years, I would say hundreds of billions is almost certain. 1 Trillion? Maybe only after US govt and China let down on Bitcoin.

We do not know and the reason for that is that crypto can go to zero to all the money in the world to anything in between, when you have such ranges is very difficult to give a prediction that is accurate, the number I have seen the most is 2 trillion dollars in this year, we have currently a market cap of 500 billions so we will need the whole market to go up 300%, something that is not easy taking into account the huge growth we had in the past year.
