I tried to sign up for the gpl pool and it says only invited users can register. Whats going on with this coin anything?
The GPL pool (gplcoin.com) is online, but in maintenance mode because the GPL relaunch has not happened yet. Once the re-launch client/daemon is released, I will do the final adjustments to the pool back-end and open the pool.

GPL version 2 - RELAUNCH - Scrypt-jane proof-of-work (CPU mining) until someone finds a way to use a GPU (but cpus should still reamin viable) Proof-of-stake (Client generated Interest) 0.2 GPL per block (5 blocks to make 1 Gold Pressed Latinum bar) 1 million total bars (5 million blocks) 30 second block target 2% transaction fee RPC port 8344 p2p port 7688 To mine these with CPU something similar to the following .conf file will be needed. gen=1 daemon=1 server=1 rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcuser=HardToGuessUsername rpcpassword=Str0ngS3cur3Passw0rd1 src Will be released after 24 about hours, we are trying to limit the potential fork that may happen if GPU miners start before the diff has risen. While the network is weak, it is not worth the risk in our opinion. We may release the source earlier depending on the reaction.. But we really are doing this help limit the potential fork and no other reason. qt https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bx1G7d6xWpRaYmR1ckZiTE5lcFk/edit?usp=sharingaddnodes if needed for the first week of launch are; addnode=199.127.226.139 addnode=46.105.233.209 but these should connect automatically and should not be needed.

Dream has the source to make the pool and his GPU and CPU miner! He wanted us to release it, and we will soon! It looks like its irrelevant anyway because someone is GPU mining by the looks of it!

But by the looks of it, i should just go ahead and release the GPU miner also...What do you guys think?

I have managed to find a couple shares with GPU amongst 99% rejects and block count is soaring... none of my client PCs generating are finding anything now.

Did anyone bother to research how a "currency" would be perceived by Star Trek fans? According to Tom Paris, it was around the 22nd century that "money went the way of the dinosaur." (VOY: "Dark Frontier")
Under the New World Economy material needs and money no longer existed and humanity had grown out of its infancy. People were no longer obsessed with the accumulation of things, effectively eliminating hunger and want and the need for possessions. The challenge and driving force then were to improve oneself, to enrich oneself and the betterment of all humanity. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, TNG: "The Neutral Zone", "The Price", "Time's Arrow, Part II", Star Trek: First Contact)
However, the Federation continued to deal with other cultures which had money-based economies. The Ferengi in particular were scornful of the Federation's economic system:
"I'm Human, I don't have any money." "It's not my fault that your species decided to abandon currency-based economics in favor of some philosophy of self-enhancement." "Hey, watch it. There's nothing wrong with our philosophy. We work to better ourselves and the rest of Humanity." "What does that mean exactly?" "It means... it means we don't need money!"
- Jake Sisko and Nog, "In the Cards"
http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/New_World_EconomyIn the Star Trek Universe, money/currency is only used by primitive or corrupt cultures.

OK,
The GPL pool is now open, Subject to outages.
Stratum is the only port working right now:
stratum+tcp://gplcoin.com:8888
I will get the GPU miner up ASAP, then work on the CPU miner Pushpool.
The CPU miner should be ready, I believe it is pushpool giving me the issue.

Please so many orphans having same issues as dfox. Oh I did remember an exchange between to fathers C10H15N which went like this. Quark: I think I figured out why humans don't like Ferengi— Sisko: Not now, Quark. Quark: The way I see it, humans used to be a lot like Ferengi: greedy, acquisitive, interested only in profit. We're a constant reminder of a part of your past you'd like to forget. Sisko: Quark, we don't have time for this. Quark: You're overlooking something, Commander. Humans used to be a lot worse than Ferengi. Slavery, concentration camps, interstellar war; we have nothing in our past that approaches that kind of barbarism. You see? We're nothing like you. We're better. Would like to get some more GPL than my 5.00 Using your pool right now dreamwatcher lets see how it goes.

Did I mention how much I hate starting repositories on Github. Forking is so much easier. Anyway: GPU miner: https://github.com/Hartland/GPL-GPU-MinerI have included a complied miner, but no guarantees it will work on your system. To compile yourself: ./configure --enable-scrypt
make Dependencies are listed in the INSTALL file, or just keep running configure and install Dependencies until it stops complaining The start.sh script is a good way to start the miner as it sets the environment variables that the miner needs. The miner works exactly like cgminer. Same .cgminer directory for the cgminer.conf file or command line options if you use those.

dreamwatcher,
Care to post your start script, what you have to mine with and any suggestions for best parameters to run?
Seems you had no issues finding blocks... but the rest of us aren't as lucky lol.

Thanks again dream! Your VPS must be getting a ton of traffic with this low difficulty!
Out of curiosity, with the difficulty this low everyone seems to be finding 30 blocks a second, but it's mostly orphans. Is it just because there are a lot of miners and the difficulty is low?
