NEO is also great but it costs coins to be embedded is very far from ethereum. the longer it could just be the increasingly NEO coin counts.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Which do you think is better and why?

There are many good potential altcoins in this crypto world, Ethereum and Neo are both profitable but also there are differences. For me Ethereum is the most that I like and I believe that coin.

At the moment ETH is much more favorable, but as events will be developed further very few people can predict, it is possible just to take chances and to try long-term investment into NEO.

The best thing for me is Ethereum. He has a huge support, great prospects and cryptocurrency market, which is based on it for a long time and has great success. Of course NEO is also good, but its rise is expected in the future, but here the political forces of China can intervene.  And it is necessary to do the decentralization of coins.

Neo has more huge upside potential while ETH has traction thus there is growth in the space

If we expect a NEO vs Eth game clearly neo is undervalued https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/neo/usd

Neo has potential in crypto world but Ethereum has its own great potential in crypto currency. All the new coins coming in market are mostly based on ethereum block chain. So i prefer Ethereum over Neo.

Of course the choice is difficult. But I will choose ETH... he is very popular, coins almost everything leave on his platform and it still enhances his popularity.NEO an excellent coin too, but so far she concedes

Both will have a good impact on crypto world, i don't think they will be necessarily rivals, they can coexist and bring new wonderful projects to light. Ethereum is used in 95% of the cases, but NEO has already shown its potential with lots of other good projects out there. Let's hope for the best for this community of people.

Of course the Ether is much more powerful on the functional. It is also more stable than others and can bring more benefits than Neo.

Anyone who says NEO isn't a risky investment is lying or fooled by the Hype train. NEO does, however, have a huge potential to be a very profitable investment. I consider it to be one of the riskier coins in my portfolio, but I believe in the tech and will continue to support the project. A few reasons why it could be an amazing investment:

-First Chinese blockchain, Chinese tend to favor their own tech over Western tech (see Alibaba vs Amazon)
-Smart Contracts similar to ethereum but without having to learn a new coding Language. Smart contracts can currently be written in C# and Java
-NEO's automatically generate GAS when they are in your wallet. GAS can also be very valuable in the future.

Go for Neo !

I like ETH more cause if NEO is really supported by Chinese government it doesn´t fit in the philosophy of crypto anarchy and independence from governments

It is a very good coin to invest. If you think youre satisfied on its slow growth start investing on it. Ethereum consume a lot of time before it grows and produce profit.  For me Ethereum is the most that I like and I believe that coin.

I will choose ethereum over NEO because I never have NEO in my wallet before. I commonly hear NEO here in forum and I've been reading about its uniqueness, but I still value more the ethereum. My feelings keep on saying to me that NEO is really risky because this became only popular with some people only these past few months. I chose Ethereum because it has proven its capabilities and it is not a scam.

Ethereum is currently the main smart contract platform and has the first mover advantage. NEO seems more scalable but it is more centralized.

If all the scaling solutions planned for Ethereum (POS,plasma,sharding,etc..) will be correctly implemented I see Ethereum remain the first smart contract platform and eventually pass BTC market cap

I think eth is an amazing coin. Its got a monopoly on the ICO market at the moment so its not going anywhere any time soon. But at the end of the day where is myspace today? and AOL? Neo is a fantastic project that started with scaling in mind. They have amazing partnerships and already some great daps ready to launch. There is no reason why over time Neo can't seriously compete with eth. this space is so fast moving that no coin can be complacent. From an investment standpoint I would side with NEO although I still love eth

ETH has demonstrated it can't scale to handle the trading of cat pictures (15 transactions per second).  NEO tech allows for far greater scaling (10,000 transactions per second).

ETH has been PoW and will attempt a smooth transition to PoS (Casper).  NEO already has a solution with it's GAS production.

ETH is extremely overvalued currently at 85 billion for a chain that has so far only been shown to perpetuate ICO failures and subpar cat picture trading.  NEO is valued at 8 billion with some real legitimate businesses beginning to explore NEO's potential.

ETH was co-founded by a kid (genius) and backed by very little other than the wealth it created.  NEO is backed by the Chinese government and an endless supply of developers.

I honestly don't think ETH will come anywhere near the performance of NEO going forward.

ETH/NEO is a far better comparison than ETH/BTC.

NEO is the fastest growing coin and ETH is very strong coin. Both are strong in terms of their projects.
