The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?

The system was already there, created by the government to make the creativity of each individual lost, lots of Ideas especially to the young ones, but the indoctrinate of the educational system stops there own thinking about the new original ideas that come with their minds. The government wants people to be controlled if they cannot implement that, some people will begin to question and it will proceed for creating a revolt. I agree with you about your statement, but they should be taught discipline first before economics.

Its still depends on a person's perspective in life. People learn from.their experiece. Maybe financial education is also important because we are using all financial aspect in our life but as people also have their talent in doing financial analytics through their wit. They are smart enough on how they will use their money because afterall they have to do it in the right way all else they will left nothing. Its people decision whether they will want to be gain more knowledge through study or through the usual way.
Don't blame all people who did not finished of their studies because of financial problem. But more of them are intelligent they know how to find a jobs, and also strategic people.

Lack of education it because lack of financial problem. Some of people now are not going to school because of financial. But we can learn also by starting to our selves.

we cannot learn everything in schools, that is the fact, only basic education are available in schools, when they graduate they are in a culture shock because real life outside school are much different from what they expected. trading and financial economy was taught in universities, but crypto trading is different and just new in our society, we cannot expect kids to appreciate it quickly. and we cannot blame schools too, nobody teach us how we came here in bitcoin world, so dont you worry, the next generation will cope up with this fast-paced system.

Maybe this impression is correct before but now it become unjustifiable. Today we can access almost everything very quick with the help of internet. If you don't know a certain thing it will be your fault because you don't do anything to know it. A lot of articles, news, blogs etc. that concerns about your problem. The only thing we might do is to search for it; I believe that being a spoon feed should not arise this time.

Financial education is very important to understand by all people but specially for the students because students are not aware on how hard to get money, i think the financial education will start on their house from their parents, and also it depends on their lifestyle.

I think financial education should start at home. When money mentality is instilled in the mind of the young, they will carry this mentality all through out their life and they can have the choice to improve it by attending seminars about financial literacy or they can have other platform to improve it like books and internet browsing.

Financial education is a must for schools but that has to be in practice to students from their young age. They need to set up a financial goal like a small goals set to achieve that, this is how they can learn. Just theroy on financial management doesn't work I believe. Yep, financial management is a must as a syllabus but practical knowledge makes them perfect.

People often have a misconception about financial education - they think it's only for financiers. In fact, everyone should have the skills to manage their personal finances simply because the quality of their lives is directly dependent on that.

Many problems come from poor management of personal finances - sinking into debt, wrong investment, falling into a financial crisis.

We as the parents must be the one teaching because this kind of problem is common in our household. So give some responsibility to your child to calculate the expenses and to give solution how to budget the parents salary. This is the greatest way to them to be aware that there is an alternative learning that can be useful in daily lives and that one of our responsibility.

Financial education should start early. Thus , knowledge and skills gradually become sustainable habits.

No problem then start teaching your children in grade school, there are tons of ways that this can be done but need some strategy to implement it. I agree on what you have said that this should be gradually shown at young age up to even they’re older because we can’t enforce it without they’re will or forcely even this is for they’re sake.

This kind of problem should be solved as soon as possible because this is a really big deal problem for almost all the people because if they will not have a financial education or knowledge then they are on the high risk and that high risk will easily give them a high chance for getting a loss which is not acceptable for an average person like me.

A few people absence of monetary instruction since some are un educated how they can deal with their cash in a privilege and achieve route how to grow an effective business
This lack of education need some enhancement wherein student/people can easily cope up with the technology that we have. Some become uneducated because lack of awareness that we are facing the new technology. In order to sustain or to adopts this system and can help the economy is the proper guidance and ofcourse to help ourselves that may boost our confidence.

I will agree with the author of this post. Unfortunately most of the traders’ mistakes now come from the lack of financial education. There are only a few schools that teach it, and this subject has the right to exist. It’ll be also good to tell children about blockchain and explain to them what cryptocurrency is.

This was interesting to read. Its true that government is the only one which creates feeling of the education or they are the one who gives us right to educate by various constitutions of the nations. But at the final step when we start talking by ourselves (because we are too educated) then the same government will try to shut our mouth by saying that its vein!

I think this is what called as politics in the first place and you go anywhere in the world this has to be there. It is mere attitude of the jealousy because government think that they should be the one who must be ruling the world and not the people of nation.

I can say for Russia. Our education is getting worse. There is not a single university in the TOP-100 world. It's insulting to realize but I have a feeling that this is a bad leadership of the country.
Education is important to everyone of us. But how about other's who suffered hard time of their life. Lack of financial problem that's why their are more youth now are out of school. For me the government need action to provide the needs of our youth to go to school.
Actually I'm a little bit disagree with you but don't get me wrong. I know that the governments are trying to help to those people who can't afford to send their children's to School ,here in my country government gives allowances every 2 months i think to those who are members of what they called "PANTAWID PROGRAM" the money are allocated for childrens educations expenses but sadly some parent's who i think to be blame also because they are using that money for gambling or they will used it for paying their debt.Yes, I am very agree with you that EDUCATION is highly important to everybody so as we parents we should also be responsible for our children and not keep on blaming the government it was us should teach our children how to be a good person, how we can value money so they will know the importance of saving.

Lack of financial education can lead to bankruptcy, loans and debts. Financial education is crucial among everyone in order to avoid financial problems. We must be educated with the disciplinary use of credit cards and proper way of allocating budget to avoid debts. I believe this must taught as early as high school or elementary education so that our youth will grow up disciplined in money management.
