The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.
Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.
What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?
Educating the youth is the proffessors job. The only way we can do to help the youth be aware on how to be financial educated is to impart our knowledge to them. Yet with less resources and limited knowledge we have on finance there is not much we can give, so advising them to pursue their studies is what we can contribute in thei way to learning financial education.

I agree with what you've said. I think that for all the people entering a world of trade or currency mining, they should acquire a better knowledge regarding financial matter so that they can easily manage or dwell when there comes a problem

Well if there is no corruption involve from both the big businesses and politicians out there lack of education might not be a problem as we all know that our taxes go from somewhere. But with the current state we are now living in we must act independently and have our own ways to earn, some classmates I know are currently specified as working students as they both work at the same time earn money for them to pay their school expenses and their daily living. I know striving for education is hard without money but we can always find a way how to at the end.

I don't think so. Education should start at home. Financial education should be one of the basic fundamentals that even a kid should know even while they are young. Adults argue that they are too young, and should just mind about playing and games, but I for one think that no one is too young to learn about finance. Kids have piggy banks and even from this small thing, they would be able to learn a thing or two about finance. This is why some people have problems with their finances - it's because they are not educated enough.

The responsibility lies with their parents. Parents should teach their children how to manage their finances. Don't just rely on what their school teaches them. Because most of the time, the things that we really needed in our life cannot be found in school. Financial education is really important for us to survive here in our country and prepare ourselves in our retirement.

I actually I noticed how younger generation focuses more on investments and business because they tend to be independent as much as possible though they are bound to commit a lot of mistakes I think they are in an advantage regarding these matters plus almost all informations are accessible and free nowadays that you can learn anything before actually venturing in it.

Contemplating the difference between your needs and your wants is something that people are having a hard time figuring out. This results in making wrong decisions in their financial aspects leaving them with less money for them to spend on important things they need. Controlling your emotions and prioritizing what you really need in your life is a key factor to be stable financially, and people tend to learn this the hard way.

Unfortunately many educational systems are focusing on financial related things as a specialized one that is the reason it is not being taught from school level but as a subject for higher studies. But, learning about very basics of common financial system should be done from our day-to-day life like how the lending system is working or how a country's economic is depending on import and export levels are few basic things we can learn everywhere. Basically education on financial system will help everyone to secure their financial life. The importance of saving should be given for gaining knowledge about financial system too.

Education is really important to achieve financial freedom and to understand the emerging technology of the future financial system. Knowledge is power when it comes to investment. This is the problem of the government wherein they wanted to stay in control of the people's wealth because they fear what they do not understand.

We teach students about literature, maths, science,
I don't even know if I agree with this part of your premise; because while I do agree the financial incapability of students is worrysome, it would seem these students are equally scientifically or mathematically illiterate. Schools these days teach identity politics and pop-culture. I do not feel students are challenged or enlightened by our school systems globally. There needs to be a reform of the school system entirely, and stop attempting to pump out factory workers and drones, while encouraging creativity and entrepreneurial endeavors. What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?
It's near impossible to make children care about economics, politics or other things that they need not be concerned about in the moment. People have a tendency to only worry about the water if it's their faucet; in order to get children more interested in economics we would need to make it relevant to their daily lives. We need a training-economy for children. There are several reason why people lack of financial education...but it doesnt mean you will stop for your ambition to reach your goal, you can do something else in your life even you dont have enough financial to study if you have talent then show it,you will not know if that talent bring you up and give you nice future someday.

This is probably a common problem in many places. In the government education program, they have only basic knowledge that underlies everyone's acquisition of new knowledge. In order for children to understand financially and economically, I think it is better to let them self-study and gain experience, which will make them more interested. However, finance and economic education programs are also needed for minors, it will help them navigate the economy and control their finances. This is just my opinion

I took higher maths in college and the most relevant subject you can ever learn is statistics. Its not that people are lacking finance education exactly its just they have no interest in something as boring as not spending. Investment can be interesting and exciting even as the prospects can yield great returns and even with personal involvement. The only thing I see recently that interests people is crowd funding of projects, like Star Citizen for example is an entire company paid for by its customers. Crypto has sparked peoples involvement also, I like to think its the start of an era of capitalism. The current meta for a large part of the 1st world is conspicuous consumption, heres the wiki for people not familiar with the term: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspicuous_consumptionIts basically the selfie kind of show off trend to always be buying something and showing 'you've made it' Sadly people are less interested in how to make it, long term business and good finance.

I think that it is not profitable for the government to teach all people of financial literacy in a school or institute. But now there is the Internet and everyone can independently learn how to manage their finances.

Since financial education is seldom taught in school then it should start from your own home. If you are a parent then teach your children how to handle money properly. If your children want something then do not immediately give it to them, make them work for it or have a condition that unless they have to do that then they can have what they want. Through this way, they would realize the importance of hard work to get what they want. Lessons should be learned first at home through your parents, siblings, relatives and then friends. If you know something that might be helpful then share it to others.
