The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they don´t get ripped-off?

Since financial education is seldom taught in school then it should start from your own home. If you are a parent then teach your children how to handle money properly. If your children want something then do not immediately give it to them, make them work for it or have a condition that unless they have to do that then they can have what they want. Through this way, they would realize the importance of hard work to get what they want. Lessons should be learned first at home through your parents, siblings, relatives and then friends. If you know something that might be helpful then share it to others.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Its still depends on a person's perspective in life. People learn from.their experiece. Maybe financial education is also important because we are using all financial aspect in our life but as people also have their talent in doing financial analytics through their wit. They are smart enough on how they will use their money because afterall they have to do it in the right way all else they will left nothing. Its people decision whether they will want to be gain more knowledge through study or through the usual way.
.

There are no excuse for people with ambition! And besides the government is working to provide free education.
it is stll up to us .knowledge is power but laziness destroy a person...

The system was already there, created by the government to make the creativity of each individual lost, lots of Ideas especially to the young ones, but the indoctrinate of the educational system stops there own thinking about the new original ideas that come with their minds. The government wants people to be controlled if they cannot implement that, some people will begin to question and it will proceed for creating a revolt. I agree with you about your statement, but they should be taught discipline first before economics.

This was interesting to read. Its true that government is the only one which creates feeling of the education or they are the one who gives us right to educate by various constitutions of the nations. But at the final step when we start talking by ourselves (because we are too educated) then the same government will try to shut our mouth by saying that its vein!

I think this is what called as politics in the first place and you go anywhere in the world this has to be there. It is mere attitude of the jealousy because government think that they should be the one who must be ruling the world and not the people of nation.
This world is full of hypocrites, two faced people and all those who are a part of government really don't care about public. I am not a rebellion but I don’t like to lie with myself.

Obviously they would entertain us with basic necessities so that we don't come out on road protesting against them but why would they let us hurt their goals. Ruling is pretty fine and necessary but we are being used. They play with us.

Lack of financial education can lead to bankruptcy, loans and debts. Financial education is crucial among everyone in order to avoid financial problems. We must be educated with the disciplinary use of credit cards and proper way of allocating budget to avoid debts. I believe this must taught as early as high school or elementary education so that our youth will grow up disciplined in money management.
You have a good point. Children should be thought on financial management as early as high school, so they don’t make mistakes in life, and also be able to avoid the risks that are involved in debts and the rest of them. As of the case of Bitcoin and alts, I don’t think we should be blaming the government cause people don’t know about cryptocurrencies. Everyone has their choice, and the government can’t force them to get into Bitcoin (that’s freedom)

Perhaps the most powerful way to improve science especially to discuss about finance is to make new lessons in various school. So After they start graduation is not too dizzy to find a job just by maximizing the previous science in order to compete healthy with anyone and certainly able to earn income.

Lack of financial education is not a coincidence, but something well planned by governments.
They don't want that citizens understand what happens, so they can manipulate them with easy.

You cannot blame others if you have not been studying due to lack of financial. What are the benefits of public schools. Public schools have no tuition fees. There are many ways we can go to schools, the solution is we can find a part time job. You can apply to those company whose looking for a working student like fast food chain. If we fully determined to achieved our goal we cannot say anything instead we can make to solve our problem. We will glad that bitcoin has been created because it can help for the student who is difficult to find a part time as long as your internet is strong. And here in bitcoin you will definitely earn profit as long as you are hardworking and patient.

Well, actually buddy nowadays, I don't think the school will need to discuss new lessons about finance which base on my own observation only those people make ruin their selves, even how educated people it is, in the end will depends on their own decisions. As I observed also, those people will depends on their way of living and most educated people wasted money due to their financial income unlike those unfortunate people will be contented on what they have. Hopefully those people waste their money will realize how bless they are on there wealthy living.

I think we should immerse them with the complicated things rather than the simple ones. In this way, it will spark their curiosity since they will be amazed on how money really works. Also, I think we should stop introducing really basic and "shortcut" methods to them because they will view as boring and too simple.

Do you know that,Self-education is the most important for smart people? those who is interested in it,he/she will definitely achieve their goals if they have desires to do everything for studying,I don't understand why do you need special education courses when there are already internet where we can t search everything what we want.the main problem is not this that there is no interest, just people are lazy and Majority thinks that someone is better than him and There will be no sense and possibility to achieve something in these sphere,So i think there are more fundamental problems than this what you said.

I believe that all of us have different talents, skills and passion. It does not mean that if you fail in school you are a totally failure because maybe its just not your passion or something that you are good at. But you are right, the most knowledge needed by youth is not given at school, but I think as a person grows, he will be able to learn things in finance.

I think the best teacher is experience and not teachers in schools or anyone else cause sometimes, even teachers and the ones who teaches how things are done can't apply their teaching to their own lives so don't expect anyone to teach about things like financial knowledge. Let's learn from our experiences in life like how to handle and manage our money. From our mistakes, I'm sure that we would learn our lessons and we would be able to know how important money is and from this, we would know how to properly handle our finances.

Well, I have come up and realize after many years of existence in this world that Education is not actually the key, it is just a stepping stone and guide but still not all who have finish their school or has even entered College have been become successful, it is still depends on us as we have different perspective in life and we do have some strategies.

I fully agree, most educational systems nowadays are based on what the industrial capitalists of the 19th century devised as a system to make the young learn (even the hard way) to be obedient, punctual and meek to power.

I am happy that some countries are introducing the latest technology into university education. For example, in Belorussia, in some higher educational establishments, you can become a specialist in the field of Blockchain . It is necessary to motivate young people to develop while showing how their financial situation will improve from this.

I see that there is no curriculum about finance for the curriculum at the elementary school level because the application of a subject for lessons related to financial matters will not be applicable when their age is still a child. so I think that is the most logical reason why there is not a financial science in elementary education because usually in the application of science education about the new finance they will get when they enter the higher academy level again. and in my opinion of course this should be a solution so that children can understand about financial education. and I think an application of education on finance in children will be done outside school hours.

theres a proper time and forum for this issue, but not in school because let the teacher educate our childrens about what is life and what they neet to know about life, but not about financial aspects because its every parents obligation. So they will listen carefully and beliebe them..parent must tell them how to spend every single amount in right way,and how to manage their funds for the future

Financial education is very important. Sometimes, we are financially broken not because we don't have source of money but because we are not educated enough. Lack of financial education might compromise our source of income, the money that we have or we should have. It might result to being broke, bankrupt and such. It is important to have job, business or any kind of source of income but it is more important to know how we should handle our finances.

Don't blame all people who did not finished of their studies because of financial problem. But more of them are intelligent they know how to find a jobs, and also strategic people.
People often have a misconception about financial education - they think it's only for financiers. In fact, everyone should have the skills to manage their personal finances simply because the quality of their lives is directly dependent on that.
Yes, managing the daily finances is a very important work which will help a person to grow this economy and also his lifestyle. And students should get a proper knowledge of the financial difficulties they can face in life and how they can tackle it.

This will surely increase the economic rate of the country and also the lifestyle of the people living in the country. Financial education is very important to create a financially stable life.
This way in future they will not face any kind of difficulty to grow their life. It is not so hard now to run our life properly with bitcoin if we are properly aware of bitcoin features and it is possible if we make bitcoin common and tell our new generation about bitcoin and educate them that how can they make fast profit using bitcoin so this way they will gain knowledge and their interest for earning money will be develop which is good thing.

Add long as middlemen don't come into the picture the knowledge and value of cryptocurrencies will be fine. School's are good for teaching about cryptos but the problem of government controlling the content of education will lead to the child being confused. It's best to of the parent teaches about it themselves.
