I just received the V2 blade today.  I plugged Ethernet and 12V power (just like V1 blade which worked fine but have disconnected while I am trying to config the new V2 blade)...   No response from Blade (no lights -- but maybe just a tiny bit of heat as if it could be alive).  Power reads fine at 12V with a multimeter.   The V1 blade will at least flash ethernet lights when power is applied.  Does anyone know if Ethernet light flashes on boot with V2 blades?   I get 'page cannot be displayed' if I goto 192.168.1.254:8000 with a browser.  The installed fuse still tests fine with a multimeter too. Any ideas?

NOTE:  ASICminer V2 blade instructional diagram here:
http://www.minersource.net/asicminer-blade/4579132096

Notice the holes in the corners for the standoff posts.  The two sticking out on bottom were snapped off on mine even though it was sealed in an antistatic bag (anyone else have these holes snapped off?).

 Undecided
One is snapped off but I may have done that as I hadn't noticed them before.  The one off has no effect as my miner is working fine.  Voltage measured at the plus and minus on the board directly is correct?  With voltage applied does the status light on your router show any change at the port the Blade gets plugged into?

The broken standoff holes indicate it could have sustained some rough handling (as we know happens with all carriers).  Yes, voltage measured at the pins at 12.10 volts.  Also (-) post to R2R is 1.06 volts so the board has power (using a 12V 360W power supply -- works fine for the V1 blade).  No lights on the blade or the switch port it's connected to.

Warranty exchange needed, PM/Email sent, 1 blade shipped/delivered back to Canary.

Yes I had one snap off in the box before it got to me. They are very flimsy. I used wooden rods through those holes to mount several blades together and I snapped another one off myself.

Mine come in with a few of those tabs snapped off also.

I use the heat sink mounting holes for mounting. Much sturdier than the circuit board holes.

I bought 10 of these and almost every one of them had at least one already broken.  Some had both broken.  Doesn't affect mining.  I don't know if it is wise to leave them free-standing on their own installed on a backplane.

PS: Thanks for a great in-person buying experience and light tutorial, Canary!

If they are not needed for the backplane perhaps those were for board positioning at some point in the production process and should have been removed before shipping.

Yes, thanks Canary.  A pleasure doing business with you.

Just to say thanks again to canary - USB-BE's arrived quick, well packed - great service.

My only regret is they're ugly black units and my collection doesn't yet have a single nice blue one Sad
