But, glad to have something. If you consider the peak of $900, he got hacked for $3,600,000... Guess my share of the losses is less than $1,000... Thanks for what you could do TradeFortress.

I totally agree with you! We don't know how much he lose in lending service, but even very big, he seem have good opportunity to make big money, he took the hacking as an opportunity to cover CL loss with this settlement. This is very very unfair! This whole thing stinks to me. He's prioritizing higher deposits because that is the liability. The issue is that there may be a lot of small deposits with a large sum of BTC. He's ignoring all of that. I've e-mailed and heard nothing back. I'm considering that we start contacting legal authorities on this. I do believe TF was hacked. I get that. What I don't get is the handling. This hack seems like an excuse to rob everyone and not communicate, etc. It's grossly unfair. I'm thinking for those in the U.S. we follow this advice: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_4522.htmlI intend to start that tonight. Based on this USD fiat conversion, I would get back about 18% of BTC I put in. The value of BTC is much higher now, I don't want USD back obviously. The question is where did the other 82% go? If the 4100 coins stolen where 82% of the funds that means that 5000 coins where on deposit. According to the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=328053.0;topicseen more than 6000 coins where deposited. Even if I assume that all of the loans won't be paid back (which is, I imagine, typical of a lending service) the numbers do not add up. We are all taking a huge loss and there is no explanation of where that loss goes. The BTC didn't just disappear, someone has it. The hacker has some, the borrowers have some, and TF has some. How is it that the borrowers take the cut and TF walks away with 1000's of BTC worth several 100 thousand. I'm not buying it. CryptoUser01

TF just told me that since I had deposited and withdrawn bitcoins earlier in the year (back to a zero balance) that the bitcoins I had later deposited (~BTC 2.80), and that he lost, would "leave me with a negative balance". That is the most absurd thing I have yet heard in this whole debacle. Unreal.
negative ,ni owe him money, what's joke

I did the calculation when I accepted the deal and offered the specific btc amount (200), and then he tried to recalculate to that day because the exchange rate was up. After doing my best to guilt trip him he gave me what I had asked for in my email to him. (Almost.)
You will get totally screwed (rather than mostly screwed.) if you accept your principal in usd at the time of your deposit with bitcoin as high as it is now.
This is bullshit. Big investors like you were what allowed his site to grow so he could give out 100BTC loans. Now he's screwed you over. I'm going to wait but I don't really know what I'm waiting for. He's probably never going to return my full amount. It makes me sad when I see the bitcoin price rise now rather than when it used to make me excited. How many bitcoins does this forum own? Surely since a large number of bitcoins are owned by the forum they could be used to reimburse the members. Sorry if this has already been suggested. I know you could say this about any scam but I think this is a different level and coinlenders was advertised all over it.

This is the worst thing about CoinLenders. TradeFortress, why investors who email you receive offers while other don't? I mean you lost coins in another, not related project. Now why the hell must I email you to remind that you owe me my coins?! Why must I even post here? My CD was canceled, withdrawal disabled, no notification, no email received. Is it so damn hard to send one email to all investors with a brief report/news? Or are you going to hide behind "this is a demo" disclaimer?

I'm also in Australia, please keep me informed or post in the thread if anything happens.
My deposit wasn't huge but it's enough to hurt now I don't have it.
I've even emailed TF with a sob story about my current situation and he doesn't even have the decency to reply. If he would update the forums more often he wouldn't be inundated with so many emails so he would have more time to respond to the one's he gets.

For people who are interested in how the 100% fiat settlement is calculated, here's a worked example:
Deposit 10 BTC on Sep 29th, considered $1430 deposited Withdraw 1 BTC on Oct 2nd, considered $127 withdrawn Deposit 1 BTC on Oct 16th, considered $154 deposited
Added together: 1430-127+154=$1457
The $1457 figure would be your re-denominated balance if you choose to accept, which is ~100% of the fiat value. Payment would be made in BTC using the latest MtGox ask. TradeFortress offered me the rate of $750 (price was $620 at the time) for the fiat settlement. I offered latest MtGox ask, didn't recieve any response yet. Did anyone of you used the settlement option after the price fallen from $750? What was your BTC/USD rate?

Does not matter in this case. TF defines "latest Mt. Gox. ask" as >= $750/BTC.

These USD value rules seem to vary. It was ok at $750 but now it's come down he doesn't want to make a deal. Disgraceful.

Third email I've sent him. Let's see if he even dares to reply now. So far, I think it's been pretty obvious he has been trying to work out the situation to the best of his interests and while it does make me think he did get hacked (He already had 4100 BTC from our money, he could just have claimed more or just said everything was lost and then disappeared if it was a scam? ) it's also obvious he wants to scratch this off as a profit with the way he's managing the so-called settlements. Again, I'll make a reply as soon as I get any response from him.

He probably want to wait for price to come back up, so it is more legitimate to offer $750/BTC. Right now that's +55% Mt. Gox ask...

Someone told me today they are trying to find out the real identity of TF and this people have big contacts. Also still waiting for TF to return my 76 BTC in CL and it's ridiculous.
