If you are stupid enought to get tricked into handing over all your precious bitcoins, YOU DESERVE IT.
This guys is a fucking genius and deserves a medal. If there would be a "scammer of the year award" I would nominate this guy. Y`all scary asses don`t deserve to own bitcoins.
Bitcoins are for the educated, the new elite!

So all of this ended up being one big, dirty scam and/or Ponzi scheme. I can pleasantly say I have managed to recoup some of the losses doing oddjobs here and there, but now more than ever, I think something has to come out of this to give the next would-be Bitcoin scammer second thoughts.
Agree 100% CF. Perpetrating a million $ online scam should result in horrific real world consequences. So does anyone know his identity? Can we start a class action lawsuit?

For the moment you should inform your local law enforcement. You could gather some of the info of the forums to help them to investigate.

We were advised by an Australian attorney to seek restitution through law enforcement first. They can bring more pressure against TF and it would be cheaper for us than a civil suit.

Welcome to the snafu, takagari. There's talk of a lawsuit and the tracking him down (at least virtually) has already been done, though I don't condone the assassination talk by any means. I'm getting ready to email the SEC about this at the email address someone else gave a while back, debating on whether or not to do that or email TF again to in attempt to get my money back. Not particularly interested in accepting his offer of just my original USD value back however. Hasn't been made to me personally, but enough other people have gotten that offer on the board that it seems to be what his offer is (or was anyway).

Yeah, 6C would have been irritating. 6K is infuriating. Compared to some, we're lucky.

Leave only in a paper wallet/trusted online wallet if you must be absent. That's your lesson. The other rubbish can happen anywhere, anytime. This sort of behavior has been around for ages and has just moved to BTC. TF may run but can't hide.

However watching it seems like it would of mattered not, I would of just known I was screwed at an earlier date.. stuff like this happens over night

+1 can´t believe this sick scam isn´t talked about anymore... btc scams are far too easy to pull at the moment and people just forget it after a few days

It's been reported to the police. There isn't much else to do but wait for their investigation.

There's a lot more that can be done! Filing a report is tantamount to doing nothing. We should reaffirm his identify (by having someone local confront him), and then ensure that it follows him. I would think it would be hard for him to get a job or find a date with people always informing his associates that he's a thief. I don't think everyone's trying to get. Some of us are just busy. But once again, his promises are not confined to the virtual world, and his debts to me are not settled until he pays me what he owes.
