FYI to anyone not following the CL lawsuit thread.  I've reported some further information to the police that I received from forum members.
At the moment they're waiting for information from third parties to confirm TF's identity that could take up to 45 days.

Things are going slowly but don't worry I won't forget about it Smiley

There is a lot of info regarding the true identity of the individuals involved.

Yes I'm aware of that but the police have to confirm TF's identity to a higher degree of precision than us Smiley
They're working on it anyway.

Seriously, for how much money some people had in CL. a plane ticket and a baseball bat is not much money. I am amazed that someone owed $10k+ hasn't just found his ass and flat out threatened his life. What will he do, go to to the very authorities that might arrest him about it?

If I knew, or had the skills to find out, who he was, I would do it.

Well, if you would take matters in your own hand and track him down and retrieve funds, i bet nearly all stakeholders would donate 50% of your retrieved funds Wink thats 2000 BTC + Wink

2000 BTC? Well he took at least 10,000 possibly 20,000 so... might get a bit more than 2000.

Interesting.

I'm hoping I might be able to get back the BTC I recently sent, accidentally, to my old inputs.io deposit address. If I'm thinking about this correctly, both TF and the alleged hacker have access. So in theory they should be racing to move it first (except for the fact that it's small potatoes). Interesting that no one's touched it. If TF is truly negotiating in good faith he might send it back.

Oh, who am I kidding.

1. Hence why I said "alleged" hacker.
2. My post was in response to the vague, slightly optimistic comments gaston has been making over the past week or so. Perhaps the situation is not so dire. But the last line of my post should indicate I am not feeling very hopeful.

If there is some new news than it is in regards to his true identity and the lawenforcements.

The thing is, TF is intelligent enough that if he is jailed, he will not giveup a single BTC. So the only thing we could see is some punishement for TF, never a reimbursement.
