TF was likeable too, till he stabbed the people who trusted him in the back. Cry
People who trusted him were stupid, there were plenty of obvious signs pretty much everywhere.

Why didn't you warn people then...should have made a thread with evidence of those 'signs' and maybe his damage may not have been as big as it was.

I did.  I made many posts including but not limited to survey's and polls asking if TF was and then accusing TF of being a scammer.

With hindsight there were a lot of warning bells. I think what people forget is that, like stated before, TF was very likeable. Lots of people who used CoinChat loved TF and deposited all their BTC in inputs.io and CoinLenders, and promptly lost it. TF wasn't afraid about dropping a few BTC into CoinChat to raise his rep - he made it back, didn't he?

BA Computer Science, University of Oxford
Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

But I'm not "using hindsight", I did warn people long before he ran.

I'll buy the coinlenders script for 0.10 BTC if you're interested. I'll even match my offer to the victims of the coinlenders hack/scam/whatever (neutral here) and will have contest for those affected for another 0.10 BTC. We've had many talks before as buds so maybe help each other out here.

Announcement

I'm offering free or discounted web development and pentesting services for people who had money in CoinLenders. The exact terms depend on your CL balance. If you think this is a tad ironic, practically every worthwhile site gets hacked. The Inputs.io hack was not due to any fault in the code or design, but rather through password resets of the server admin emails.

Send me an email (ciphertext@cryptolab.net) if you're interested in taking up on this offer. This offer is transferable.

You had a crap ton in the hot wallet though.

Way, way too much.  Which was precisely how this happened, if there was only a small amount of bitcoins in the hot wallet like there should have been (and like you were assuring us was the case), well - it might still have gotten stolen, but "it" would have been a pretty small amount of bitcoins, not pretty much all of the ones you had in Inputs / CL.

What did you do with the BTC people deposited in CL then, just let it sit there and pay interest on it? Or did you actually lend it out to people and invest it?

Yeah. It still wasn't a technical issue however, or anything to do with the code.

Free / discounted web dev offer is still open Smiley

Yes, but TF (if that is actually you) said he was guaranteeing all CL investors with his personal worth.

As through your recent posts you are ready to loan bitcoins to other people, you have bitcoins that you should be giving to us back right now. Explain ?

That was only during the early stages - that guarantee has not existed for the history of this thread.

It existed when I put in my coins, that's the reason that I did!
