sorry, but why is ethereum classic price falling??

Because it's already too high for what it's offering?

What is ETC beside a hyped fork which will be forked? One hyped fork can't keep the price high all the time. It doesn't have the support of any real business.

hey hey now, hold horses
a fork of what now ? as far as I (and everyone else) knows ETC didnt fork off anything, the reason its called Etherium Classic is because it stayed the way it was born
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

sorry, but why is ethereum classic price falling??

wondering the same thing for the past week, cant find a reason why, every other coin with an airdrop literally made all time highs....ETC price is behaving as if there is no airdrop at all

pretty salty about this one, the one coin i try to play the airdrop on is the most lackluster

Exactly same thing here. I've sold my downtrending ETC for EBTC yesterday. I could cry from happiness now.

Callisto is a separate blockchain that is based on Ethereum protocol with its own cryptocurrency (CLO)...Callisto introduces a Cold staking protocol that rewards coin holders for being network participants. The airdop will commence on the 5th of March 2018. Everyone holding any ETC will be given 1:1 Callisto.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gktUVJOT--Y

https://cryptovest.com/news/etc-callisto-airdrop-announcement-leads-to-price-surge-and-stability/

How will this influence the current price of ETC?  Grin And what would be a fair price for 1 Callisto (CLO) coin?

etc began to fall again.

i tihink it will stop on 20 dollar.

be careful about that. you can sell it now. you can buy it again from 20 dollar.

Read it on some  thread here or another site that it will cause Etherium Classic to go
towards $100 possibly into this event. May play out similar to the big gains in NXT leading to
IGNIS airdrop or not.

It can go up and increase the marketcap but i am not sure it can be stay for any longer.
Like you say it can get gaining like nxt but nxt is give the investor much lose because the price suddenly big red. I am the one who lose in nxt

i don't know why the price keeps falling, etc it's such a serious project and callisto airdrop was a nice reason to pump the price. i hope it will stop his fall during these days

Bittrex does not support the airdrop - they recently announced it. Binance has not yet announced anything.

ETC is on it's way down. No good development. I sold yesterday morning and I'm back in ETH.

What is ETC beside a hyped fork which will be forked? One hyped fork can't keep the price high all the time. It doesn't have the support of any real business.

In 2016 a decentralized autonomous organization called The DAO, a set of smart contracts developed on the platform, raised a record US$150 million in a crowdsale to fund the project. The DAO was exploited in June when US$50 million in ether were claimed by an anonymous entity. The event sparked a debate in the crypto-community about whether Ethereum should perform a contentious "hard fork" to reappropriate the affected funds. As a result of the dispute, the network split in two. Ethereum (the subject of this article) continued on the forked blockchain, while Ethereum Classic continued on the original blockchain. The hard fork created a rivalry between the two networks.

After the hard fork related to The DAO, Ethereum subsequently forked twice in the fourth quarter of 2016 to deal with other attacks.[45] By the end of November 2016, Ethereum had increased its DDoS protection, de-bloated the blockchain, and thwarted further spam attacks by hackers.

ETC is not a fork.

Ok, ok, I'm aware how exactly are born ETC and ETH.
But every coin what doesn't keep the 'original' name is a fork for the mass user. ETC is the 'real/original' Ethereum only for ETC miners and supporters. For all the rest it's close to useless alt.

ETC will drop to under $20 or even lower after the hyped airdrop.

I think the volume is too heavy for pumpers to manipulate. If etc pumped that means more drop down and better opportunity to enter.

It was crazy seeing the price drop as much as if did recently. I still think it's fantastic long term. The fact you can't tamper with the blockchain in eth classic makes it better than eth imo

I think so we wont see any pumps. We are glad to be doing the airdrop. then we have no gain. We are having trouble accessing the wallets, the stock exchanges are closing themselves.
Nobody gives us the earnings we deserve. They are always trying to make a problem

Actually you should never store any coins in exchange-wallets anyway.
You'll always get your airdrops and if the exchange gets hacked or shuts down you won't lose all of your coins if you store your coins in a cold-wallet with access to your own private-key.

Every decision we take, it will be pros and cons behind the decision.
Store in cold wallet will make our coin is safer than exchange wallet but we can not do short term or day trade if we want. Its only for long term investment.

Many people lose their keys and wallets because they're lazy, not doing backups etc
Or lose it due to some natural disaster...or someone hacks THEIR computer/mobile phone

So solution is to use your own wallet, but also put much more energy into keeping it safe,
which is hard for not tech savvy people

What is the meaning put much more energy to keep the wallet and private key safe? Do you mean we need not to be lazy to keep and back up if something bad happen? I hope that what you mean.
If the hackers can be easy to hack our wallet because of our lazy then we have to blame our for that
