I don't think it would be that good for the environment for the electricity consumption you mention, and that is only when talking about BTC which not everyone will be able to get their hands on. If we talk about the rest of mined cryptocurrencies then the damage is even larger.

Additionally, what you refer to as useless work or "human waste" is how many people pay their bills and support their families. What would these people do then? If we are talking about the lower positions then they may not have the funds to educate themselves about crypto, so who would support them, the state?

So if we go to more earth friendly ways of making electric power, we will have problem solved. Bitcoin farms do not need too much space, also that space around it could be used for producing electric power for that mining farm. Place some solar panels or some wind turbines and there you go. Everyone happy

Those two accounts above needs to be looked into. I think it is either they are the same person or they are using the same brain. Plagiarism kills intelligence. Someone should investigate that.
You no need to report here, either you can report to the moderator, you can find that option below of right corner or you can go to Meta section and report in the thread where plagiarism already reported.

A lot has been said about mining and about the electricity consumption of the activities related to bitcoin mining. However, I have thought of the alternatives and how other systems produce not just energy waste, but also plenty of useless work and "human waste".

To have a network that can ensure the completeness of transactions, the global accessibility and all the features that bitcoins, and many alts, have at the moment, would probable produce a huge carbon footprint. Just think of the VISA system or the banking system... the amount of people working on it, the waste of commuting to works, the infrastructure.

Thinking of all that, would you still say Bitcoin is bad for the environment?
Hmm I think these things you have mentioned are not really related to being good for environment. Having big electricity consumption of bitcoin does not make it harmful to the environment. Equally, the commuting of the workers for the carbon footprint creation, you cannot really blame them that they are bad contributor for the environment. What if some do cycling?  My point is that your logic seems illogical. Try to see for yourself.

Put the mining farms into a warehouse surrounded by fertile land. Plant trees and other vegetation to provide a haven for wildlife. There you go - Bitcoin mining is good for the environment. Smiley

Even better if they convert the energy stored in all the discarded plastic bottles that are everywhere. They could use this to generate electricity.
in fact this is still a lot of talk in some countries related to some of the risks that arise when many residents use bitcoin there is supportive and there is a refuse when many who use bitcoin sutau environment will automatically ride the economy but still vulnerable to criminal acts.

but one of those cases of bitcoin and good miners is that it generates heat that can be used to keep your home hot in winter. we do not think that there is any other bitcoin miner usage. Bitcoin is so wise the other is just bad for the environment and uses too much power consuming when there is an alternative to mining.

Everything can give or impart positive or negative impact depending on how you will utilize that thing. So i guess those who hold much hold our future whether it would be comfortable or it is better to die.

Bitcoin mining is using electricity, obviously and 24/7 mining a bitcoin. However banking system also used electricity when doing transactions as well as paper receipts and records and bank books. Comparing these two, bitcoin although using electricity it is very safe in the enviroment, there is an alternatives to use electricity like solar power it conserves power consumption in some power plants, also coalfire power plant can also be used as a power source.

who says bad bitcoin is a jealous person because they can not afford to do it and they are just lazy people and can not accept the fact that technological progress is a time change. and they can only make fun of it and actually they are interested but they are prestige, and I think we better focus on our future and not care for those who do not want to accept this modernity.

Are you Serious? If you think then you are totally wrong, I know Bitcoin and Altcoin working may consume lot of power supply but so does any currency system will consume. Crypto currency is working bank in-itself so such issues are common, for instance the working of a bank requires space, regular maintenance of computer, power supply, salary payments and many more expenses and in case of Crypto currency these are nearly less as compared to banks. Also, people are now using Eco-friendly ways to run crypto environment which will further reduce all such problems.

Fiat money require paper and Visa and MasterCard plastic. Thus, the manufacturer is forced to destroy nature. And in the case of Bitcoin, only electricity is spent on mining and blockchain, which can be obtained for example from windmills.

Bitcoin is good for the environment. The things that affects the environment is not the bitcoin itself but the tecnology that we used to generate bitcoin. Like mining and other power source that produced radiation.

Bitcoin is good for environment we are smoke free no printing in used of paper and our money is digital and we can access bitcoin without using electricity solar power may take in place no waste to be disposed a little we have radiation but we cannot surpass other network of thier radiation I can say that here in bitcoin we are safe.

I would say bitcoin is not totalliy giving bad effect to the environment since it is using the Internet to be able to participate in bounty campaigns , investments and payment system.  Except for mining where it use high electricity consumption but if it is using renewable source of energy then it has not contribute further damage to the environment.

Technologies are not good for environment for my own opinion. But as for Bitcoin it can be good in some part. Every country spends money, resources, and peoples for creating cash. Bitcoin doesn't contain this part of that process.

we think bitcoin currency is not too bad for our environment because it is not much affected by many people around it, because it is one of the digital money, so many people do not understand what bitcoin is, but if bitcoin is authorized by the government then there are many good things. of this bitcoin, many people's bitcoins will become successful and can be a good job on the unemployed.

I think there is no reason that bitcoin becomes bad to the environment. As a matter of fact it helps a lot of people in the invirinment to grow their knowledge and to improve their social life. It also helps to the unemployed people which can be a good job for them.

it is not just an innovation, if we are able to do and manage properly like livestock, the benefits that we may be more able to know in every time. That is very fun.
