Facebook is banning all ads promoting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, including ICO.
Please see more details here Facebook is banning all ads promoting cryptocurrencies — including bitcoin and ICOs

How this will affect ICOs, Bounty programs and entire cryptocurrency market?

Yes, Facebook just one channel, but a big one. And I really hope this will not trigger more bans from other social networks...

Another Good Reason to delete Facebook. Does Facebook see the crypto space as competition or some thing.  Makes no sense on why they would ban ad revenue?

1) I am running Facebook Ad Blocker, it is beyond me why most people are not using it.
2) The ads for cryptos  I have seen on facebook while not running adblocker are shady to say the least.

Just banned ads, fanpage & groups is still work
I think to be advertising, we should avoid the word that facebook ban, use synonyms or misspell a bit. It is a simple cheating, not a long way

That is dumb!! Maybe soon Steemit can take over FaceBook and cause Facebook to be like Myspace. That really blows how come companies are acting like this. I thought that FaceBook was going to implement a cryptocurrency to use on their website?

This will cause the next bitconnect to not have that huge of an impact when it exits so this is good.

Maybe Facebook will only allow THEIR cryptocurrency to be used, so they are banning all competing currency because maybe they cannot handle a level playing field. Perhaps they are afraid of competition?

It seems to me that Facebook it's not profitable. Still, a lot of pages are connected with ICO, let's hope that this is just a rumor. Tongue

Although facebook only one channel, the facebook have a big population. There are more user in this than the other social media. So for me, it has a big impact to the ICO and in the Alternative Coins because if there's no add how will the others know about the alt coins. Yeah there are others mefia like youtube twittrr but we know that the population of user in the facebook was manier than the other social media

face book "BANNED" = centralised garbage that will soon be obsolete.

I'm okay with them blocking advertisements on their platform. If however, the cryptocurrency offers an already established product and doesn't appear as a "Buy now and you'll see 200x returns!" then it may be doing the market a disservice.

I think Facebook's ban on the promotion of cryptocurrencies and ICOs is because they may themselves have to launch a cryptocurrency or be afraid of being regulated by the government. After all, the legitimacy of the ICO remains to be determined.

Interesting point! It will be so funny to see how Facebook promotes and advertises their own ICO after all. Grin

No, they can ban the content in ads - caption, text in banner or landing page ...

Facebook is not only the media to advertise cryptocurrency.  Just banning the ads will reduce Facebook profit . There is lots of fan page and groups still there exists . More over this there is lots of good platforms ready to take over Facebook.

Facebook is not the only media that can be used to advertise ICO. There are many great social medias open for us to still use like twitter, Reddit, Youtube, Blogs etc. The important part is ICOs can still be advertised and Cryptos will never die.
