Definitely Online trading, if you trade conservatively. Always try to reach a ROI with your trading investment first, before you expand into more unknown Alt coins that might look promising. Both are a gamble if you do not do proper research on the Alt coins that you are planning to invest in.

Your best bet, will be to start with coins like Bitcoin, LiteCoin and Ethereum for now. ^smile^

Which is more profitable in the long run, Crypto trading or online betting ?

Trading anyday. You might get lucky once or twice if you bet online. But there is way more probability of losing your money and getting addicted and losing more. Its a risky gamble.

Since you mentioned 2K budget you can split into 1K for Holding and 1K for trading. Invest some money in promising ICO's. This is sure to get you some nice profits. And now is a good time since the prices are low. Like mentioned above Hodl some good Alts like NEO, XRB, ARK, ICX etc etc. Do your own research.

Also while trading don't simply put your money in some shitcoins. Make yourself thorough with some Alts and be updated with the current news so you know which coins are sure to go up.

FYI: You might have to move this topic to trading discussion.

if you don't know what you are doing then your trading is going to be like betting too and you lose the same amount of money in both of them. maybe even more in trading since the altcoin dumps are sometimes big and fast.

but if you learn it and know what you are doing in trading, then it is not even correct to compare trading and gambling because gambling is pure luck and you will definitely end up losing in the long term because of things such as house edge but in trading you will make money even if you lose a couple of times.

Well considering that online betting is often on 'rigged through coding' servers, you should probably go with trading.

If it's long-term, Crypto Trading is the chooice. With trading you can analyze the profit in accordance with what you expect. But keep in mind! Do not get carried away when trading or betting or you will lose. If you want to bet you must have a strong mentality to not be disappointed with the results obtained.

Newbee here. Please guide me.

Which is more profitable in the long run, Crypto trading or online betting ?

In a way, they're both gambling. However, it just makes a lot more sense to stick with crypto trading because there's a lot more that you can do with crypto trading in comparison to betting. With betting, you have the chance to lose a lot of your money, especially in the early stages if you make a bad guess. With crypto markets, you can research an ICO or coin and predict what the coin will be at in the near future. You can act off that and split your money across multiple coins. Overall, that's why I think crypto trading beats out online betting.

With betting you're pretty restricted in comparison to the many options and diversification you can get out of online crypto trading. Make sure to keep this in mind when you choose what to do.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Well,Online betting is more profitable but the losing percentage in gambling is 80% so be ready for lose your investment at any time.In trading you can make money only if you have trading skills or else you will lose the money in trading too.But gambling is the most profitable between these two. Don't go with online betting - the trading contracts usually expire within 3 or 6 months, and cryptocurrency trading sometimes requires a longer horizon.

Make an account at an alt exchange like livecoin, and only trade coins you actually have (don't bother with margin trading/borrowing). When you have a long horizon, it gives you an opportunity to either accumulate low and then play the long game waiting for a pump, or to trade quickly and take profits. You have more flexibility with normal crypto trading.

Betting is game of luck so don't like it. If i have $2k, half for holding some good coin, top 20 on coinmarketcap, and half for trading.

I am sure that trading can be better than betting especially in the long run. Gambling is good if you are the operator or somehow connected with the program and not as a bettor...the odds will always be against you or you may win some money in the next few days or weeks but eventually time will come when the program will have a good revenge on you...this is how many gambling programs are designed -- designed to make money for themselves and you are the source of that money. Learn more on many things in trading so you can develop your own techniques and strategies suited to your capacity and skills. And always have patience.

Well considering that online betting is often on 'rigged through coding' servers, you should probably go with trading.

all the popular trading sites that I have seen so far have a "provably fair" system implemented which is also audited by those who understand it and if they pull anything it will become public so fast. so I doubt that there are many "rigged" gambling sites that can stay alive for long.

besides they don't need to rig it! there is a house edge which helps the house to always win and also the gamblers mentality which means the gamblers will lose in the long time and there are lots of them.

both of them require speculation, accuracy, and prediction. you should think about the advantages and disadvantages in determining your choice

I don't think online betting should be part of choices if you are pertaining for a profitable activity because it is consider to be gambling and as you know gambling is a 50:50 chance of either win or lose so if you are looking for a profitable stuff better do crypto trading and investment, at least you could have a higher chance to earn especially if it is for long term holding.

If you don't know anything about trading, you cannot hope to make any profit, it requires a minimum of knowledge and time investment. But if you take time, it's a better option.

I would choose trading, not that risky, you can have your own strategy and not lose a lot while starting. Betting is ok if you have a lot of money and you feel like give it a try, but the chances to derive a benefit are much less. Use Binance and CEX.io trading platforms as you begin, they're trusted and have low fees.

There is no betting strategy that make you profits. The house gets the edge, so the odds are always against you.

Your best chance of making money is to invest in one of the top 20 coins in terms of market cap. Better yet, diversify and buy several of those. I would stay away from Bitcoin Gold and Etherium Classic and maybe Zcash, but most of the rest of the coins in the top 20 could show some good profit in the next year.

Both things are entirely different when you do talk for profits on longer runs which gambling or online betting isnt really an option because instead of making money or profits you would eventually lose up even more. 2k usd budget would really already enough for you to start on crypto trading which it is much a better way of risking money on that kind of investment than on putting it into gambling.
