With 2k budget its better to invest in some coin and hold it for a while, and with some little amount, like 10% which is 200$ to try other things and to see what you like more, and what suits you more. Before you actually do something its the best to try it with some little amount, that would be the best thing to do for all the newbies.

Trial and error on the initial phase on things that we aren't familiar but on gambling I don't see for it to be need to be test out.
Yet even basic common sense or knowledge can already made you to play unlike trading which does really need some knowledge before you can perform.

well, if you compare the two, maybe trading is still better, because you can control 100% of the funds you have. however, for now, I don't recommend both, especially if you're new to this. it's better to look for information, and see the market situation directly, it might give you a wise choice, because $ 2k is quite a lot.
