Why are altcoins still dropping in price

I have two options for why the market for alternative crypto currency is in such a sad situation. The first option is the usual manipulation. And the second option is this, then the market is trying to get rid of scam projects and scammers.

I think it depends on the demand. If bitcoin keeps on going up, it only means that the majority of the demand will be on bitcoin and the demand for the other coin will be low resulting to a low price. We should take that opportunity to increase our investment on alt coins. Taking advantage of the price while its cheap is a proven strategy to be successful on crypto.

The main reason for the Altcoins that they dropped their price so much it is because of the high competition in the market and not to mention the new project emerging that also has the potential to grow that's why project that has no fast development will not recover it's price soon because most of it's investors has migrated to another good project and never came back.

For coins like electroneum it is hard to know why they are going down, it may be that there is a volume dump happening that you have not noticed, maybe they failed in something they promised and people are losing confidence, or it is possible that it has nothing to do with BTC and the market is simply doing a self-correction, remember that not all currencies are linked to BTC or ETH, some simply follow their own rules.

They are dropping in price because the market is in a bear. Then there is also the issue of all of the prices of the altcoins being dependent on the price of bitcoin so now that bitcoin is struggling in the market, you see that all of the altcoins are struggling in prices too.  That is how it works, until bitcoin starts doing better, we will not see any good prices in altcoins.

From the beginning of 2018 until now, btc price has decreasing and not only btc but other altcoins like eth as well.
So, it maybe a correction from last year when cryptocurrency spiked.
