I think the dev should do something to fix the impacts from the 10000 bounty bug.

This bug have given large amount of profits to early miners, however, the mining difficult now is about 40x than before. Ignoring these impacts is not a good solution.

Dev should restart the Chain and start mining from Block 1 again...
To have overlooked the reward of 10000 for 1680 blocks is not correct...
Diff is 40X now and Reward has cut down from 10000 to 500...
This is not fair.

In the grand scheme of things, for a coin with an ultimate total supply of 1 Billion, the initial error is virtually negligible. Far more damage would be done to the reputation of the project by negating the work of those who saw the potential right from the start IMHO. Who would mine it if they knew that, should a bug be discovered in future and enough people complained about it not being fair, their mining time and wallets would be wiped out on a whim?

Here, among the endless stream of worthless ICOs and copy/paste crap that makes up 99.9% of the Ann forum, is a project that at launch had a working product, a good whitepaper (albeit with some glaring typos), a decent website, wallets and pools ready to go, no ICO, no pre-mine, and a clear vision to be something other than a "me too" coin. You really want to risk all of that because a few people got lucky for a few hours?

You make a valid point.
Then Dev should continue mining with Rewards set to 10000 till another 10k or 20k blocks instead of suddenly reducing it to 500.
That would give a chance to everyone to get 10k rewards.

I agree with Speedie, starting the chain over is much worse PR than just fixing a bug and moving on. An error like this can't just wait until thousands more blocks are mined in the name of "fairness", it will mess up the entire emission plan. I think a lot of people are complaining because they missed out on the higher rewards and now want everything to start over. I consider it an "early adopters bonus", sorry that not everything is 100% fair.

And not just those who benefited from the bug either, but everyone.

Lucky for a few hours? Can you please consider browsing the blockchain explorer... just for the fun of it?

Early adopters did get lucky for a few hours. Yes, it's annoying if you weren't mining during the bug but wiping the slate clean is going to stop anyone from being involved in this project in the future. It signals that the devs will wipe the chain which is fundamentally going to kill any blockchain based technology brand. The best case scenario you could then hope for is a hard fork, however after 24 hours would basically be suicide for any new coin.

I get that it stings right now, but a bug being live for less than 24 hours is negligible in the long run.

You are affecting this project big time, which just caused a loss of 30% hashing power... and it's just starting!
Miners realise their wallets are in endless loopholes and don't get synced ... not even the seed nodes!
What are you gonna cash out if there's no coin to cash out? Stop the greediness

What are you talking about? The seed nodes have been updated, the devs already explained the wallet syncing loop (Due to pools not updating which is out of their control). Hashrate is still at 3 MH/s, which is insanely high for a brand new project. The pools that have updated are all working fine as are the payouts. The coin is doing just fine no matter how much you want it to start over.

Where you will get coins for boutnies if there is no premine?

Heard of cryptocurrency mining?

If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

If 3MH is a lot, then... have a look at how fast the project lost 1 MH in just few hours

That's due to pools being on the wrong chain for a few hours.

I don't get the difference between pool.ipbc.io and support.ipbc.io.
Why has one pool 10% fee and the other 1%?
Why is the support pool showing a hash rate of 920kH/s while the whole network just has 670 kH/s?

The 10% fee pool is where the IPBC platform mediaplayer-miners mine to. The other is for people who want to mine for themselves with their own tools.
Perhaps the calculations shown for the whole network, being calculated estimates, might be somewhat inaccurate. Pool rate should be right.

same, me to i have trouble
I answered this earlier. The "-allpools 1" options ought to help you out.

Hi,

I can't verify my account because I ddin't get the verification email.

Will you fix this?

Thanx
You didn't get the verification email? If we notice it being broken, we will try to fix it. Can you provide any more information, perhaps PM me the email used?

wallet, not full file, what its  Undecided  Huh
Seriously, this wallet must compile manual  Undecided  Huh
are you kidding?
hi, thank to reply
i had error, when i compile and build this wallet

<snip>

im not understand, why must compile manual??
guys wallet its hard to build, how this? why not with already wallet simple??
i use os linux
If you check carefully, there are compiled linux releases located here:
https://github.com/ipbc-dev/ipbc-wallet/releases
They should work for you. Just extract, chmod +x, and run.

Hi good day
Cool Reserved Russian Translate Cool   BitcoinTalk.org  & MiningClub.info .... okey?
thats my Work
https://miningclub.info/threads/ann-proekt-phobos-masternodes-pow-pos-ico.31603/
Russian was already reserved, as noted here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15XkjMx6DL6LTBbIcfdRY_PGHscTTkdRg_7sxiocN7gk/edit?usp=sharing

the website was pretty so slow,I try to watch a movie but waiting for a long time.
I think it need more technology update.
We are working on improving everything.

10,000 reward for a 2mins block? means 300,000 an hour , 7mil a day , 216mil a month, total supply 1bil , so means in around 4-5 months all the coins will be mined?

+1

I, too, are interested in such an issue.

Do not you think that this is very small? If so, why?
Difficulty will increase as network hashpower increases. However, block rewards are not dependent on diff, they are calculated based on number of coins already mined. The more coins already mined, the less will be the block reward. https://github.com/ipbc-dev/ipbc/blob/master/src/CryptoNoteConfig.h

What will be the price of IPBC when listed on livecoin?
Not exactly something I can predict, sorry.

uuuh im not luckly, still like this after download and extrack and chmod +x

im save on desktop file IPBC-Wallet-linux-x64-v1.0.2.0.zip
1. extrack
2. cd IPBC-Wallet
3. chmod +x IPBC-Wallet

And then:

./IPBC-Wallet
./IPBC-Wallet: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_program_options.so.1.58.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Please dev, create wallet for simple on linux

Its because your missing libboost - try this from a terminal: sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev

then try running it.

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting our IPBC launch. We’d also like to thank all of you who tested the platform and reported bugs.

As a result, we’ve received lots of very useful feedback. We’ve listened and will be taking this into account in our development roadmap. This marks the beginning of a very exciting journey for us as IPCB team, and you all are a very big part of it.

Very grateful for all the support!

Hi IPBC team, I just got the pool and explorer up&running

https://ipbc.minez.ro - miners get ready to onboard

https://ipbc.minez.ro/explore - no API at this very moment - work in progress
