Seems still far to ethereum can beat bitcoin, this year ethereum price still follow bitcoin price. And the increase is not significant as last year which could reach 20 millions. Currently the price of bitcoin is falling as well as with ethereum

I would rather agree that ethereum be one of the kings in altcoin not in crypto, because now this bitcoin is still the best. but it can be used as a benchmark if one day ethereum will definitely grow higher.

We agree on ethereum technology well above bitcoin, but some other altcoins are also equivalent to ethereum.
All put hope on ethereum to be first, but when bitcoin slips, all altcoin also falls and ethereum may suffer the most severe blow.

Not this year and not in the future. Bitcoin is a symbol and people do not buy bitcoin because of the technology.
And a very limited supply may be the main force of bitcoin.

Hello Folk, is it the time for ethreum to lead from the front ? As bitcoin is going through rough ride along with other altcoins but ethreum is turning out to be more stable platform for investment and also new ICO's are based on ethreum. Do you think Ethreum will dethrone bitcoin from 1st rank of crypto this year?

That is not possible, not within the year and in the years to come. Bitcoin is still growing, the same with Ethereum. If at a certain point Bitcoin stops growing then Ethereum will be given a chance to prove itself worthy of replacing the king of crypto. But until then, Ethereum has to remain on the second spot. That is not bad at all considering the number of altcoins in the market. In terms of price stability, Bitcoin as well as Ethereum do not have it.

Ethereum has a good chance, in my view, of reaching the #1 spot this year. We need the upgrades to come so that Ethereum can handle the network traffic.

Ethereum is already a well known cryptocurrency in the world.
Many peoples and holders use this coin as an investment instrument for ICO.
No doubt that ethereum can replace bitcoin in the future as a no 1 cryptocurrency coin.

No, I think ethereum is queen of crypto, the king of crypto is bitcoin. Bitcoin is more popular than ethereum.

Eth has now secured the second place in encryption market value, but I don't think eth can be worth more than BTC.

I think Ethereum should be able to catch up with what Bitcoin is. Currently Ethereum is developing very well against Bitcoin but it needs to improve a lot of things like technology, speed, storage, security, etc.

Although many people are more familiar with bitcoin, Ethereum has also gained a fair share of the market with its own value. However, there are key differences between Ethereum and Bitcoin used blockchains.

The difference between these two systems is that Ethereum's data processing is faster than Bitcoin's because after the agreement, Ethereum's system automatically applies to the terms and conditions in the contract.

Although many people may think that the value of Ethereum is lower than Bitcoin, Ethereum may not be as good as Bitcoin. This is a good thing for investors who are looking for alternatives to Bitcoin. Lower prices may attract more investors because it will have more room for growth. The only downside is that Ethereum is not as established as Bitcoin. In view of this, Bitcoin is safer than Ethereum.

It is too early to say that Ethereum would be the new King. Bitcoin will be top always in crypto-currency. No one can replace so soon. Ethereum is the strongest competitor of bitcoin. Ethereum has more potential now to grow unlike before.

In June 2016, TheDAO, the largest crowdfunding project on Ethereum, was attacked, and the loss of more than $150 million in this crowdfunded project exceeded 3.6 million Ether. In July 2016, the Ethernet team forced all funds of The DAO to be transferred to a specific refund contract address in block 199000 by modifying the code of Ethereum software. In this way, the money controlled by hackers was obtained. Thus, two routes are formed, one for the original chain (ETC) and one for the new branching (ETH). This is incredible. It's like Bitfinx' Bitcoin was hacked, and Bitcoin then took a hard fork in the rollback transaction. If this happens, it means that Bitcoin's credit bankruptcy. Fortunately, Bitcoin has never had such a thing. The Ethereum Foundation chose this way to recapture their assets. What is even more ironic is that TheDAO project itself is a decentralized organizational project. In the absence of consensus in the community, the change of blockchains was used to retrieve coins that were lost due to their own negligence. We also saw a series of things that followed, and ETH prices plummeted.

I think that ethereum has the potential to become the most valuable crypto currency, and that's why I think so:
1) In ethereum, the scope of applicability is much broader than that of bitcoin
2) ethereum is a decentralized technical platform. This provides an influx of new people (miners), which allows ethereum to earn by providing computing power.
3) Mining ethereum is currently more profitable by comparison with bitcoin
But there is a factor that may prevent the ethereum from overtaking bitcoin - it is an unrestricted emission of ethereum, that is, ethereum is prone to inflation.

It will surprise me very much. It seems to me that bitcoin is a unique coin that has caused confidence in many countries of the world. Bitcoin will forever remain a king due to this fact. This place is occupied and noone will take the leadership.

Actually i used to think that it’s gonna happen but these days i’ve changed my mind. Basically, it seems like bitcoin will remain as the king of the market in this year. No doubt ethereum is also strong but i just think it’s not its turn yet.
