I always look at the website of the project that I'm going to buy. I always try to pay attention to the little things that can be associated with the project. I think that very many little things just can tell about the project.

So I thoght this could be of help for some that also in search so they will also be inspired .. maybe they could also ad stuff arround here that could be of help!

Research it takes a few days/weeks so if u're in this fase take your time.

1.Forum search about the coin;
2.Join the telegram group and try to interact with the members;
3.Try to make a post on the forum and also see the crowd sentiment;
4.See some data on coinmarketcap.com , : https://icodrops.com/ , https://icorating.com/
5.Watch this tool from investing.com - find here the explination: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873063.msg29503403#msg29503403
**LATER EDIT:
6. Team - research moust of the members on linkedin and google , also the backers or advisors.

Doing this can be of help to get a sense of a really good buy... at least this is what  I do.

What are your thoughts ? How do you do it??

Cheers!

I agree with point 6. I always do an in-depth research about the people behind the signature campaigns and the alt coins I'm really interested in investing on. This I believe is the point a lot of to miss out because they a lot of people blindly invest in alt coins without researching. Do your proper research everyone.

Just remember for everyone who benefits someone else loses on the other side. Have a reason before entering each trade: Start a trade only when you know why you’re starting and have a clear strategy for afterwards.

The analysis of the coins that you carry out before buying looks pretty good, but I think that even with this analysis, you can stumble upon a Scam. It is necessary to divide your investment into several parts and invest in a fairly large number of altcoins.

Before I buy it, I look at the previous value and the next values. I buy things at the lowest level, and when I start to rise, I sell and I am profitable. If you do not watch, you lose.

I heard a lot about telegram groups for discussing cryptocurrency topics. But I am actually not a member any of those groups. Most of the time I discuss the matter here and this platform is fully suitable for me.

Yeah you are right, I seconded your post, the problem with people is that they don't do any research before buying any coin, they just do choose a coin and buy based on hype and some of the hype could be as a result of pump and dump group. always do your research before investing in any coin. that's way you will make the best profit from cryptos.

Your first impression of the coin is how they present itself to their customer on their website.  Take a holistic approach and read over the whole site.  Does it appear someone just threw it together?  Does it read well and make sense? If the answer to any of these questions is no then you should immediately start taking note something is wrong.

Maybe seeing altcoins in coinmarketcap is a big help. Their you can see how coins have become in the past months. Join group members in telegram and other social medias so you will be personally guided by other members. Grin

You should have to do a deep research for the coin in which you want to invest and have to wait for it for a few weeks to monitor its volume of trade on exchanges and its potential after that try to invest there. Smiley Smiley Smiley

Before buying an altcoin, you must research and analyze the situation of that altcoin, you can go to coinmarketcap.com, I recommend you buy altcoin in the top 20. let's see what the experts say about the altcoin you want to buy. Buying at a time when the market is falling deeply is a wise decision.

Very helpful, because we will not be able to learn all the projects one by one. The more information such as how many percent of their target that has been achieved will be better for our capital to make choices.

I think the important thing to buy altcoin is to see from the development of coin in every month if always go up then good and if it goes down then not good, and after that wait until the price goes down and buy altcoin.

I do few things before buying altcoins by checking,

Allocated Budget:
Check if the budget is Good, not too low and not too high, because if low maybe the work that you will do is not worth for the pay that youwill get however if it is too high there is a chance that it is a scam

First of all, you must have at least one of the three common which is high liquidity, easy to trade in the world at present: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) or any coin that can be traded in USD. You have these coin, you will be able to buy any other coin.
