We all wanted high price, higher than 1000$ and got it, we got even 19k and there people were hoping more than 20K, they think like it's infinitive.
Did so high price do a good job? No, higher satoshi/byte fees became even higher in value because of price rise, some exchangers closed registration and etc. In reality there was no need of 19k but I think currently it's best to see price between 5000-8000$. There isn't so much demand.

Of course, the higher the price of bitcoin the bigger will be the profit of investors. I think it is not selfishness. But the volatility of bitcoins really help the investors since when the price gets so low, they can buy it and wait for the increase of its value to sell it.

I think almost people wants high price of bitcoin after all, because people hoping the higher price like 20k. If they have a price 1000$, so this is improvement for bitcoin and to us,because if i have a price like that, so we can buy anything what they want. Keep it into the better price higher than higher, and also we need to hold this into the good price for us.

basically everyone would of course want to get a very high profit from what they have done in bitcoin activities but on the other hand there is a very important thing that should take precedence besides the rise in bitcoin prices. some of the things you mentioned may be a barometer for fixing bitcoin in order to remain in existence for a long time.

I wanted to have a high price of bitcoin simply because we wanted to have high financial gain in it. People investing bitcoin should be aware on its statistics and always check its price to know when to sell it. If bitcoins' price will be at $50 to $60k then its time for us to sell our bitcoins to have high profit . But before that gain, we should first support bitcoin and continue using it for all of us will have benefits from it.

Although you made a very good point in that selfishness and greed is the reason some people pray for a higher price of bitcoin, I still believe that the fear of loss is still the major reason for this earnest prayer as no investor would ever pray for a loss. I bet you wouldn't expect someone who bought bitcoin at $15000 to sell now when the price is just a little above $8000. As a trader, all such a person can do is to hope and wait for a turnover in the price of bitcoin.

Bitcoin has been a good way in investing money and it can help you produce great amount of profit in just a short span of time as the volatility increases. We all have different reasons why we hold our bitcoin for a long period of time so we cannot really blame them. We all know that holding bitcoin helps you gain more income and benefit as the time gets by. You will see a lot of people here holding their bitcoin for some reasons. The best thing about the high price of bitcoins is the profit so try to invest right now while the market value is still low in order to earn a huge amount of profit when the  price of bitcoins in the market will surpass $19k.

One notable point here is that people are so keen on the profit and they totally forget the main idea behind what makes bitcoin tick and this has turned bitcoin more into a speculative asset that a currency.

Well, we can always have it both ways and it seems from the look of things, with the value not increasing, we may not have actually gotten a lot of recognition as this, so we cannot say it has not in any way helped, but I would personally prefer bitcoin to be more perceived as a currency than just an asset.

The problem is that nobody is interested in a currency with less utility than the USD, which is what Bitcoin ultimately is as a currency. In the beginning, there was a very small group of people who wanted Bitcoin to be a currency for idealistic reasons, kind of in the mold of Satoshi because they view fiat currency as too manipulable. That's a niche group of a niche group, and was never going to be enough to actually make any sort of impact. The only reason Bitcoin specifically (and crypto generally) spread beyond this idealistic group is that some people made easy money in the beginning. When you could spend $10 and pick up hundreds of bitcoins, the price only needed to fluctuate a fraction of a penny for you to flip it and make a profit. This snowballed over time so that the new people coming in were drawn in by the speculation and the gambling far quicker than people drawn to the idea of a useful currency. The more people who came though, the higher the price and the bigger the price swings, and over time speculators built a bubble that drew in more and more speculators. Then the lambo crowd was born, and when stories of lambos and millions to be made got out, the media started to get in on the hype, drawing more attention to Bitcoin. But the thing that didn't change with all the new attention is who was being drawn in, and it was always speculators drawn to the gamble or get-rich-quick dreamers desperate to find an easy score. That's where we are today, a bubble that couldn't sustain itself and now sits at less than half of what it topped out at. But all the people left are still speculators, and all the people who will come in the future will be speculators. Bitcoin will probably never be a currency because the only thing it's known for by the vast majority of people is as a speculative asset. This, I think, is irreversible at this point.

For me and some, which is relying completely on bounty campaigns, it is alright for bitcoin to stay at a price, as long as we can get the reasonable price for our work. The price depends on the perspective of different people. Isn't it joyful to see that your income or profit is blooming through bitcoin's increase? That's not selfishness, people wanted to become financially stable especially nowadays, when living is expensive. The highest possibility of getting financial stability is in the highest possible price.

If the price of the bitcoin is high the more profit you get. A lot of traders have been waiting the price of bitcoin peak high to gain more profit in their investment. Because of the high price of bitcoin many traders are now rich in a short period of time and thats the reason why we want high price of bitcoin. The scaling problem of bitcoin has been there since bitcoin was only $1000 of course with it's growing adoption and growing user number. This is inevitable to happen but the devs and it's community compromise to implement an solution called lightning network. And there is nothing bad in hodling bitcoin because the truth is we all want to make profit that's why we invested in bitcoin.

I am sure you did not read the OP's post even after begging you guys not to spam. The main essence here is that the perception of people about bitcoin being more of a speculative asset has even caused more problem for some, serious FOMO and great panic along the line. It would have been nice seeing an organic growth for bitcoin and not just a growth fueled by speculation and greed but I guess we cannot just stop having that, can we ?

No. I am not selfish. But I want much higher prices for bitcoins because higher prices alone will make more people to come forward to adopt it. Higher price and more adoptions are chain reactions. Hence I want more higher prices for bitcoins.
