Every day I see bitcoin going down even more. I don't understand why is it happening. Selling now is betraying the bitcoin's values as well as losing a lot of money. Why don't we all just calm down and at least stop selling our coins? Bitcoin's destiny is in our hands. If we believe it's a great coin then it indeed is a great one. If we tell others how good bitcoin and other coins are then they are going to believe in it themselves and it will help the market to recover.
If we, however, decide that everything is doomed then it indeed will be so! Why not to hope for the better and try to hold (if not buy) our funds, so that we are the ones who win rather than lose?
I am even thinking about making a flash-mob in facebook. For example, we all could post hashtagged message '#iamholdingbtc'. We can change the things for the best. But we do have to believe in it and do something, not just let the stupid news ruin our world.

1) Those who are using BTC to buy things (probably about 1%)
2) Those who believe in BTC so much that they'd continue to support it even if they made a loss in doing so (about 1%)

For me if they choose to just sell their bitcoin for whatever purposes, then so be it. How many times have we heard members calling out people not to sell, but eventually did and lost their potential profit. We have been in this kind of situation and we should learn from our past mistakes. Unfortunately, its really hard to hold specially seeing for investments going down 40%-50% and decided to sell and exit for good.

Let's just look at the bright side because coins to back to the ecosystem and we can buy it at cheap price. Eventually the price will bounce back, but for those who have sold already, they will regret it one day when bitcoin goes for another all-time-high.

You cannot tell everyone to stop selling their BTC, probably, most of those who are selling their BTC have bought cheap last 2 years when it was just around $1k or below. Those who have bought BTC at a price range of $10k-$20k should have at least a realistic target within 2 years as well to make profit in BTC because the price won't jump unrealistically high overnight. Patience is what we need in order for us to achieve our goal.

my plans are not to make money today only and be done with it. for that reason i will be accumulating bitcoin. what this means is that i buy, i earn, i make profit,... and hold it all in my cold storage. but from time to time when price shoots up like when it nearly reached $20k i sell something to not only enjoy the huge profit that i gained but also to have some more money ready to buy back the big dip.

Bitcoin prices are going down pretty much because what I think is many Indian people are selling their bitcoins without thinking after the governments 2018 Budget stated that all measures will be taken against people using cryptocurrencies and to stop the use of cryptocurrencies. I personally know a person who sold 10k worth Bitcoins recently at the current market rate because of this government and usage of crypto in India issue. With a rare exception, people on this forum know well that Bitcoin has woven in the future of this world and that it's only a matter of time when the rest of the world will start using it, and when that happens Bitcoin price will be much higher than $20k when only from 0.05% to 0.3% of the world's population were using BTC. I am clearly with on promoting bitcoins not to be sold, because it would seem that most of the buyers (investors) over the last couple of months bought bitcoins as a source of investment (stock or bond), without necessarily understanding cryptocurrencies or blockchain technology. They were just reacting to the market and the positive news that was coming out during bitcoins growth. For those who truly understand the blockchain technology, and the true, real long term value of crytpocurrencies will stick to bitcoin. It is two things, find people who really value bitcoin and blockchain for what it really is or educate and market the true potential of bitcoins, altcoins and blockchain technology to the buyers (investors) who always sit on the fence and are risk-averse.

Media are the one who drives people to make that selling decision and the whales know the opportunity behind all of these crazy exaggerated rumors. I also didn't know the reasons of such fast fall and wonder about it all this time. Yesterday on our national central news there was a short newscast about bitcoin and there they said that currently the price is falling cause of an exchanger was hacked and some big sum of money was stolen. Bitcoin prices are going down pretty much because what I think is many Indian people are selling their bitcoins without thinking after the governments 2018 Budget stated that all measures will be taken against people using cryptocurrencies and to stop the use of cryptocurrencies. I bought bitcoins now, recently the price of the bitcoin has been in turmoil, the price dropped a lot, I lost a lot,
I don't know what to do, I want to sell my COINS, but I will lose a lot of money.
My friend asked me to hold my bitcoin patiently, and it will soon recover.

Well what your friend told you was true, we can't do anything but to hold our bitcoins if we don't want to lose a lot, it is about making wise decisions, we already lost a lot because of this huge price drop that happened and selling early would make the situation worst than ever, therefore selling is not an option right now. Selling in DUMP price would actually make the price of bitcoin hard times on rising.

I think it's not right if you're trying to order people what they don't want to do . Sell or HODL it's the chosen of each people and they will be responsible for it.
Maybe sometimes they took the right advise and earn profits from it but actually you can't order them to do so because it's their money and their money their choice not yours.

For some reason I likewise feel the same thing.  There is a feeling of I wanted them to regret what they did.  But ofcourse, if it will continue then the price of bitcoin will continue to goes down.  But hopefully, many will buy and then bitcoin price will goes up again.

yes, I agree the future of bitcoin is in our hands. but in what case you describe it, it is not so easy to stop all investors or bitcoin holders. because, various people have different opinions and knowledge. we know, that this chaos happens because many beginners are scared and then sell it, as a result bitcoin down and they lose. this is a fact, but what you do will not change anything. sorry me my opinion

I agree that it is up to the individual to make a decision.  He must read the posts and look at the charts and then decide.  Do I think bitcoin will go up or down from this point.  Selling is a risk in case it goes up and buying is a risk in case it goes down further.  From here I think it will continue to go up and down but certainly I do not see any pattern of continuous  up at all in this last month.  I think it will fall again maybe even deeper than before.  But others think it will go up.

Yes stop the selling. Just hold it. It if need to sell you check the price in the Market place if price wil be high then you sell on time. Now coin price is down high day by day. So it any time to change the price it not easy to guess. So you know the price then you get more idea's for future saving. So you buy if coin price is low and hold and wait for price increas. When you notice now were in a green marks so hoping it will continue like this and will increased.
