Every day I see bitcoin going down even more. I don't understand why is it happening. Selling now is betraying the bitcoin's values as well as losing a lot of money. Why don't we all just calm down and at least stop selling our coins? Bitcoin's destiny is in our hands. If we believe it's a great coin then it indeed is a great one. If we tell others how good bitcoin and other coins are then they are going to believe in it themselves and it will help the market to recover.
If we, however, decide that everything is doomed then it indeed will be so! Why not to hope for the better and try to hold (if not buy) our funds, so that we are the ones who win rather than lose?
I am even thinking about making a flash-mob in facebook. For example, we all could post hashtagged message '#iamholdingbtc'. We can change the things for the best. But we do have to believe in it and do something, not just let the stupid news ruin our world.

After reaching  9,300$, less than 24 hours later, Bitcoin dropped below 8,000$.

You are right. I highly recommend everybody to stop panic selling. As we all know this is just a challenge to bitcoin. Just keep on holding your coins or else you will lose. Don't panic, bitcoin will still go up eventually that is why we must just be patience and wait.

Bitcoin's volatility makes it normal for bitcoin's price to go up and down. If we wait, one day, we will just notice that bitcoin is back in the air again. Don't gey carried away by the price now, Instead, encourage your self to wait a little bit more time.

Bitcoin is in free fall now since it broke below 8k. If this is the bubble bursting, it can go back to $1000. But it may take 1-2 years to get there. So hold on for the ride. And if you got out before the fall, you lucked out. But if you put it back in by buying miners, you screwed yourself again. No more ROI even with S9s.

In my opinion, when the market is in such a turmoil and shaken by news that come out every other day, I would neither buy more or sell, but rather observe how things play out. Today china announced that it will ban foreign exchanges, tomorrow the SEC will decide over the fate of crypto currency investing in America. Until this flash of news comes to a halt I won´t move any position. The biggest mistakes I made in the past were moving things around impulsively instead following a long term plan.

You can't tell people what to do with their money or their bitcoin. Everyone is free to choose what they want to do. Telling people to stop selling, if that's what they want to do, is ridiculous. Bitcoin prices are going down pretty much because what I think is many Indian people are selling their bitcoins without thinking after the governments 2018 Budget stated that all measures will be taken against people using cryptocurrencies and to stop the use of cryptocurrencies. I personally know a person who sold 10k worth Bitcoins recently at the current market rate because of this government and usage of crypto in India issue. Maybe due the huge amounts of bitcoin being sold is the reason of the prices going down.

I read your posts, guys, I can see that most of you agree about holding, even though some are for selling. What about the tags then? I think it can work. We have to start with something. And besides, making tags is not really a hard thing to do, but it can trigger other people. Or, wait, is it forbidden to do such things as facebook banned ads of cryptocurrencies?
Perhaps you have other ideas of something which would be easy to do but might make a difference eventually? I don't think that waiting and doing nothing is the best strategy.

You can't stop people from selling by posting on this forum. People will continue to sell because they don't want to lose all their profits or they need to cut their losses due to their financial situations. Also, the people on this forum don't make up the majority of the bitcoin holders. The Chinese in China are the majority holders and they are all selling because of the Chinese government. So until they stop selling, bitcoin will continue to fall.

I agree to hold BTC as I already am holding it but it won't matter if just a few are holding while the others are selling.  If everyone stops selling their only then it will be possible for BTC to regain it's value. Despite that we don't even know if people are actually selling it since it might also be those early investors of BTC who hold thousands of BTC. So we cant really blame anybody.

As you can see from the poll results it's not us who are selling their Bitcoins. With a rare exception, people on this forum know well that Bitcoin has woven in the future of this world and that it's only a matter of time when the rest of the world will start using it, and when that happens Bitcoin price will be much higher than $20k when only from 0.05% to 0.3% of the world's population were using BTC. Yes, it will take some time until all the people will be using BTC, 20 years or maybe even more, but meanwhile, when Bitcoin will be used by only 3% of the people its price can reach around $100k and this can happen in the nearest future.

I am clearly with on promoting bitcoins not to be sold, because it would seem that most of the buyers (investors) over the last couple of months bought bitcoins as a source of investment (stock or bond), without necessarily understanding cryptocurrencies or blockchain technology. They were just reacting to the market and the positive news that was coming out during bitcoins growth. For those who truly understand the blockchain technology, and the true, real long term value of crytpocurrencies will stick to bitcoin. It is two things, find people who really value bitcoin and blockchain for what it really is or educate and market the true potential of bitcoins, altcoins and blockchain technology to the buyers (investors) who always sit on the fence and are risk-averse.
