This is an alert. Not so that they leave bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, but so that all those who dedicate themselves to this either to mining or trading, please take care of their health, understand that this can go well or it can go wrong, it is like a bet. We can not get carried away.

Earning around $200000 through investments in cryptocurrency is not that simple, so surely he is an expert in the cryptocurrency network. But, he hasn't understood the life in a better way. What is more than one's life, each and everything is uncertain. We need the mind to accept anything and should know ending life is foolish act.

Accept everything before you move that's the key in trading like think the possibility might happen to your investing we need to handle it,i think he got depressed but that's not good to kill yourself and we live to have fun in life if you angry in the world then that's a big problem because in life this is meaningful like you can imagine what you can achieve in the future so better to think positive and let go the negative.

This guy probably use his whole life savings or maybe he got a huge loan. This why the first rule of cryptocurrency other then research is invest what you can afford to lose." Poor guy must not research crytocurrency enough to understand it volatility. What goes down will eventually go back up. Money is never worth anyone life.

This is a very sad case, but it is not the first time it happens, nor will it be the last time. In fact I had already heard of a South American man who had committed suicide a few years ago when the bitcoin suffered the drastic fall that led him to lose 90% of its value. And that is why many recommend getting involved in these businesses only to those with enough emotional control to deal adequately with this type of volatile adverse scenarios.

Exactly! We can use emotion in trading and most importantly trading is not for beginner with a lot of money and not knowing how trading works. It is already been told so many times in here in this forum not to use money you cannot afford to lose.

Please dont bully him. Atleast we learn from him not to do the same mistake Cry

A 20-year-old Korean student has been found to have committed suicide after falling into depression due to huge losses in bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The body of the victim was found at his home. If youth join the crypto world. Families should also be careful of their children and do not let their children trade. Either they lose or win they can make silly things like this or stop going to school and others. Cool

The rules should be quite simple. If you don't have the heart to HODL like a champion, then don't HODL. If you are easily swayed by emotions, and are seriously affected by fluctuations in BTC value, then just day trade, that way you can never lose all of your cash. It sucks that he committed suicide when this is just a temporary fluctuation, that should have been obvious.
Agreed.  Except I'm easily swayed by emotions but I know better than to bet the cat food money on something as volatile as crypto--and I have a feeling that this is what people are doing, investing way more than they can afford to.   That's a recipe for disaster, as is buying crypto on credit cards.  People need to smarten up.

I still don't see any proof here that anyone committed suicide, but I'm not doubtful it could've happened.

The mother revealed that the young man was under medical treatment in order to control his depressive state

Someone who managed to make big profit like this guy, could left the country, as the problem was the government's regulations. He could continue the operations in another country. Also, to suicide because a drop in BTC price it's a sign of some mental disorder. Any average investor knows about the volatility.

Financial losses were an aggravating, but not the main reason of the event. Hard to know what could be done to minimize the issues the mentioned young man was having in this case. But money should be in second plan in life, what you lose today, you can earn tomorrow again, especially here in Crypto-Currency world. Falls are a part of this world and investors must be prepared to deal with this, otherwise better to don't invest.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before stories like this started to surface it almost likened to the great depression. For him to get to that stage he must of been suffering badly with depression that he only saw that way out.
I don't think he was depressed because of the downfall of crypto he invested maybe he was already suffering it with other reason and cannot just take it all when he saw that his investments was going down for a full month. People shouldn't take this seriously too much because this is an unpredictable when talking about cryptocurrency.

It's sad that people appreciate money more, than life and that they can so easily yield to pressure. Actually, come to think of it, he had still ~$70,000 left, which is quite a money for a student. Say nothing of a fact that bitcoin can go up in price and set new records a few years later.

Is it just a coincidence that a country that's giving crypto currencies a bad name and planning to ban bitcoins records a suicide , in which a student who based on what was posted was doing pretty well? Is this actually confirmed or more crypto related propaganda?

Such a Heart breaking news. We have turned BTC into a gambling. I want to share my story. If you have lost a lot, hope my story will make you happy.

Story 1:
Year 2015, I started mining with a single gpu and I mined 40+ ETH and sold them at $1.25 per token.

Story 2:
I joined into signature campaign and received 80k of BLUE tokens. Sold them at 7 cents each and got $5600. Next day it went into 50 cents.

Story 3:
I invested all my profits to SGR and bought some SGR and I made good profit out of it.

This is life. There will be ups and downs. Suicide is a bad strategy and ultimately you will be a looser

I am not sad at all. This world is not for looser. Hope he already made a good fortune , yet he was unhappy. I am sorry if anyone find me offensive  but I think he is stupid. BTC is not important than life. In the end of the day, it is just money. He earned money and there was equal possibility of loosing money. This is a harsh world and emotion is like a shitcoin here, useless.

This is really very sad news, but how much is it believable? Maybe it's just a negative informational throw-in during the fall of the market?

while im not sure if this is true i deeply condole with his family and friends. Nothing in life should make anyone depressed. people have to know that BTC is only an investment and like any other invested, things can go good or bad. Its bad to have lost this student. I hope more people can learn from this

It is a pity that not everyone can cope with their emotions. Life goes on, you do not need to go to such extreme measures. I hope this will be a lesson for the rest.

Speculative market like this, is why one should be careful of what they invest with, and how much to invest in.
A good investment plan should not effect spending. You don't yolo.
