Higher the risk higher the profit.  For huge profits people enter the market with a big greed.  Before entering here one must keep in mind that risk of losing is higher.  
And time of buying is also important.  If due to greed we buy @ 21k and now are  unable to sell at 7k then we should not become so sad.    Before investing we should have understood above.

Indeed, that's the main reason, after it reaches $20,000 a lot of people saw this opportunity, so they sell a lot to earn a bigger income, due to continuously fall of price, it's also attack by FUD. In my opinion, it'll still be long, as we can see in the market, when the price goes up, there's also a large fall of price, I guess it's because when people saw a sudden increase they take the chance and sell to earn somehow.

Bitcoin price actually not that low. If you see the price of btc one year ago, it seems still lower than the current price.
lets wait and see what will be the cryptocurrency market condition at the end of this year. In the pasts, crypto usually rising at the end of year.

What condition of your friend now? Did he sell in lose or held to recover the loss? I feel pity by thinking his mental situation because of Bitcoin now only 6700 USD where in February It was 10K USD plus! The main reason for this long-term fallen is unknown. No one knows the exact reason. Some people say it is because governments are baning cryptocurrency and some people are telling about FUD, Bad news. I think we should hodl for more time because One day Bitcoin price will increase more than before.

Many reason why bitcoin price drop in several months and i think its because too many negatives news around market and people panic with that news. If people not panic with that fake news, i am believe bitcoin price can survive above $10k.
I think its started from raid in korea exchanger and after that rejection on ETF approval by regulator. But i am believe bitcoin price will be recover again and reach highest price again in next several months
