I'm not sure why you said this maybe you are down with your holdings or you are also trying your luck to find a good project inside ico, but knowing the potentials of a certain project is really hard to find, we aren't sure if timing can be much better we are just aiming for some good timing, maybe the value of bitcoin as of now will be gain some edge if you will find a good project that will be successful after the release, aside from the price to rise bitcoin value will rise as well so better to study the market and start investing.

I recommend you. Buy low-cost coins. It is always better to invest in an ICO. ICO is very risky. There are a lot of junk ICO's and unfortunately you encounter. You will lose everything. You should invest and do not have to think about gambling

Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

ICO very risk but it brings more profit when it success. i think you can join bounties campaign of ICOs project and get award(ex: token or coin) from team ico. i joined a bounty campaign of TEND. i think it very potential to invest and take more profit soon.

ICO is super risky. However, if you spend effort to study the ICO and willing to take the risk, give it a shot.

Bad things:
- A team of nobodies, bad or no advisors
- Too high or too low cap
- No idea, or a non-original idea

yes because icos could be very innovative project with good future.
no because in 2017 there were so many icos. it was too much. that was no naturally growth. so more icos means also more scam..
