This is the only paying (with the exception of one, which may or may not pay so far) campaign, so take it or leave it boys and girls Smiley
That's not true. There is also FXOpen for example and they are paying weekly and withing 48 hours after the weekly period Smiley i know it from my IRL friend but it's true that they have closed their gates for new users and they have set limit for post count of i think 125 posts per week but it's still kinda alot!

Because limiting posts will be useless, people will just use multiple accounts. There's already multiple prime dice participants asking about whether the forum allows multiple accounts for their "friends". Convenient timing eh?

Bear brought up a legit point there will just be more multi accounts at play since it is allowed in the rules of the forum.

HI,
The campaign should be limited to only sr and hero members!
This is the only way to stop  spamming and non constructive posts!
If this campaign is limited to only 100 posts per week and also not weekly paid may be I will jump to another one.
BR
Gondel

Unfortunately, limiting the campaign to sr and hero members in no way guarantees the eradication of spam posts.
You have to remember that the spamming newbie will probably still be spammer even after he reaches hero status.

Very unlikely they will make it to Hero status
BB will come in and catch people on one of his raid days and send out a week long warning to you to be more careful not to spam.
Pretty sure the next one is a month long then 3 months (And I don't want to know firsthand ^_^)

In other words there is a very low chance a spamming newbie will make it all the way to the hero ranks and that takes around 1.5 Years if you made an account today so it would be a waste of time to get it banned in the process to get there.

That also presumes people signature campaigns remain the same in the new forum.
We should be emigrated to the new forum software around that time if things follow the schedule so the point is moot.

As a note on the tables I posted you can change the multipliers that was just an example personally something that looks like this would probably be the most efficient one to address spamming since it would put a range on posts have an activity requirement and have a minimum to get to the next tier.

The benefit is that their is no incentive to have more posts than the tier you qualify for.
Less will mean that you do not qualify for that tier but get paid a lower tier.
Growth rates would be organic so it wouldn't take spamming but a gradual progression of posts to get to the next tier well before your activity could match it.

Example: (Rates can be adjusted as well as post minimums)

Flat Rate: Per Month for All Tiers

100-200: 0.02 or 0.04 BTC / 30 days Min Posts 50/month
201-400: 0.04 or 0.08 BTC / 30 days Min Posts 50/month

Changes to a per post system

401-700: Posts must be a Member
Max 200 posts a month Min 50 = Avg 6 Posts a Day = 0.0004/post
Maximum = 0.1/Month

701-1100 Posts must be a Full Member
Max 350 Posts a Month Min 50 = Avg 12 Posts a Day = 0.0006/post
Maximum =  0.21/Month

1101-1800: Posts must be a Sr Member First Tier = 0.0008/post
1801-2500: (activity must be more than 360) Min Posts 50/month  Must Be a Hero Member Second Tier = 0.0001/post
Max 500 Posts a Month Min 50 = Avg 16 Posts a Day
Maximum = 0.5/Month

2501+ posts: 0.15 or 0.3 BTC / 30 days Min Posts 50/month Must Be a Hero Member
Max 600 Posts a Month Min 50 posts = 20 Posts a Day = 0.0012/post
Maximum = 0.75/Month

A user will have no incentive to have more than a certain range of posts and reduce spam in total in theory
How it works in practice is another question but it should mitigate most spam.

Would require 7 times the work for a Member to make the same amount as a Hero to spam the forum with multiple accounts
3 Times the work for a Full Member to spam the forum with multiple accounts.

400 Posts first to get to the highest member ranked tier
Then another 200 posts to claim the maximum.

700 Posts and time to get to the Full Member Tier
Then another 400 posts to claim the maximum

That would keep the mods happy since they can follow that type of movement and it should be reasonable for newbies to get to as well.

Member activity: 60 = 10 Weeks to get to 400 Posts
Full Member activity: 120 = 20 Weeks to get to 700 Posts
Sr. Member activity: 240 = 40 weeks to get to 1100 Posts
Sr. Member activity: 300 = 20 weeks to get to 1800 Posts
Hero Member activity: 480  = 30 weeks to get to 2501+

There is some room on the upper range to increase the maximum due to the time it takes to get there but this is just an example.

For those curious at minimum speed from a Newbie starting at 0 Posts
100 Posts/Month 3.33/posts/day and Min 50 Posts/Month 1.66/posts/day
400 Posts = 60 Activity Hits Tier at Activity 112--> 224
700 Posts = 120 Activity Hits Tier at Activity 196--> 392
1100 Posts = 240 Activity Hits Tier at Activity 308 --> 616 Tier 1
1800 Posts = 300 Activity Hits Tier at Activity 504 --> 1008 Tier 2
2501 + Posts = 480 Activity Hits Tier at Activity 700 --> 1400

Didn't you notice there is some sr/hero spammers too?
Those accounts are easy to buy these days.
And not all of members/fulls spam.

Some one else hires all of full members and members, for very cheap price and gets most of the visibility.
Makes no sense.

Who would? Most of sig. campaigns are closed and/or have limited number of posts. Also other campaign creators should consider if they will be accepting members for the good of the forums.
Well i don't know i'm just expressing my opinion and member signatures are barely visible anyway.

I think would be interesting forbid using multiple accounts, and if one does so, it will be banned from campaign and not receive any payments. At least would make people think twice before going multiple accounts, and some of them won't do that, so less spam.

Everybody?
Think about it, if Stunna drops out, anyone can hire most of users for 0.0001BTC post.
And it is so cheap someone will do it.

It is very easy to change ip these days, so there is no way to bust smart multi account users.

-snip-
The spam has been a major issue for a while, anyone have some sort of suggestion on what they feel fair pricing is per rank?

I wish I could tell you that. You paid 25 BTC last period. If you keep the rates in the same relation they are now
  • Hero: *1.2
  • Sr.: *1
  • Full: *.6
  • Mmbr: *.4

and limit to 50 users rates would be:

|rank|monthly rate|weekly rate
|Hero|0.6|0.15
|Senior|0.5|0.125
|Full|0.3|0.075
|Member|0.2|0.05

Which would result in an average payment of 20 BTC per month. Depending on the ranks participating ofc. These rates however seem a bit high to me. Not sure how much the average participant posts, but they would require 125 posts per week to make the same rates. If you however tighten the rules spam and participation (make a high weekly minimum and very strict anti spam rules) it might work out.

In the end I cant tell you what to do. I currently cant even tell what I would do, because the solutions I come up with require a lot of work and that might not be worth it.

It seems I have been missquoted earlier. My misstake apparently was my post to long for people to read and understand it.

When I wrote "cut members" I was not refering to the user rank "member" but I was suggesting to reduce the number of participants.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I personally dont see a problem with the 100 posts limit, idk. I dont think I will ever go higher and even if, it wont be by much. I am with PrimeDice since I could join. 5 month? 6 month? I dont even remember. I looked it up december 18th was my first payment.

IMHO you should cut members. I understand you want people who post solid and contribute to the board.
You also dont want spammers, so my first cause of action would be to ban those from the campaign that have been banned for spamming. Permanently. Im pretty confident that the mods would help you out with a monthly updated list.

Final suggestion: take all the suggestions you get here and think about what you want for a few days. The lastest changes have been a bit bumpy. Id rather have a clear change.

The spam has been a major issue for a while, anyone have some sort of suggestion on what they feel fair pricing is per rank?
This is where you should start from. I think that the limit is a bit too low, maybe 150 per week or 600 a month would be okay.

I think the prices are OK (40k; 60k; 100k; 120k) and limiting the number of posts paid should help reduce the spam but it is better to keep it simple : maximum 400 or 500posts per month

It will be boring and easy to make a mistake (different times, errors on when starts the week...) when calculating the number of posts made per week

If we get a weekly payment every Sunday for 100posts maximum it makes sense to limit the number of posts per week

If you want to make your life easier you say : 200posts minimum to request payment and fix rates : Members :0.2; F Members : 0.3; Sr Members : 0.4; H Members : 0.5

Keep it simple and thank you for the Good Work Stunna! It wasn't easy to implement the automatic enrolling&payouts and deal with all the PM's, you are a machine!

why not just let stunna decide instead of just discussing over and over the fictitious offerings you all want to receive.
let him think it over for a few days.... jeeezzz...

you can do the sums 100000 different ways but at the end of the day it is up to him to decide. It seems like perhaps profits from the website don't justify the outlay in the signature program, for now.

yes yes everyone open to opinions but just let him think it over for abit.
