Basically if you are active within each two week period, your activity points will go up 14 points at the end of each two weeks.   If all you really care about is the activity points, you could theoretically just come on an post on the 14th day each time, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of being on this forum

Actually, to get the maximum amount of activity point you'd need to post at least 14 times in each 14 day period.
By doing your method, the person would only accumulate one activity point.

Not this discussion again  . You only need to post the once in the two week period and you can collect/catch up the rest of the activity points at a later date.

Has anyone actually exceeded 400 posts? I'm at 180 at this point, so it seems like 400 is well above what I'll get to. I still think it was a great compromise by stunna, stops people who were spamming like crazy.

i'm getting close. i'm near 300 now.

i can't really complain too much about the new changes either.. i'm still over a month away from hitting 240 though.

Not sure if they have changed but if you don't post a single post durnig 2 weeks you will lose those potential 14 points forever.

Then again if you had made 1 post, the 13 points that are left will be added the next 2 weeks if you post more then.

Activity is calculated using the following formula.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

So, if you don't post in a two-week period, the "time" value won't increase for that period.

In order to to 400 consistently, you have to be spending a pretty good chunk of time here.   I think it is easier to do so when you are newer to the forums because there is so much to learn and read and talk about.   Once you have been here for awhile, you pretty much frequent a lot of the same threads, and then just read some new stuff here and there...
