HODL vs Day trading

my personal opinion day trading have profit then hold, but if you do this you have to always look the market cap, if you follow this always then you will be a successful day trader. but if you havent enough time then buy some good coins that actually have future.

Day trading is no doubt little more beneficial thing to do but for a person who is having really good skillset in trading. I thinking of holding to be much better option than that of day trading as holding of the coin for longer period of time involves less amount of risk especially for the person who is not good at trading. Moreover, holding can also help you in doing side business as well.

Whatever we wish to do for as long as we will just devote time to study and learn from it and make our own strategy then there is no reason for us not to become successful on it, especially when we are comfortable doing it and if we do have patience.

Well there are people who seem to be really good in making decisions quickly and reactively. These people should find day trading a very challenging and fun activity since they can earn. Hodling, as we all know is less risky especially for those that aren't that skilled in making fast decisions and analysis

Well if you are extremely risk taker you would go after the day trading. Day trading is very very risky and dangerous specially if your capital is limited and you put all in your money in day trading it might loose nor earn. Anything can happen in day trading and all i can say it is really intense and stressful. That's why i do prefer holding the coins for long term for a peaceful mind and less worries.

That is even a whole higher level of risk for someone who is new to trading. If the OP had asked if HODL or trading is better, I would obviously choose trading any day anytime. But when we are referring to day trade, that is a whole new level entirely and it requires a great deal of knowledge and attention. Nevertheless, for someone like you who prefer peace of mind and apparently not ready to learn trading or have the time to do so, like you said, no need stressing yourself than to just hold.

Day trading may be more profitable but it needs skills to earn huge profits. You have to good tech. analyst to be a successful trader.
On the other hand, HODL strategy is a long-term investment. You have to analyze well about a coin/token before investing because this decision will make you rich in future.
So if you don't have time and skills then I suggest you go for HODL strategy and enjoy seeing your money grow.

When you are new in the cryptoworld, you have no chance with day trading. For profitable day trading you need a lot of experience. If you dont have this, it will happen what every newbie happens. Buying high, selling low. So even if i long in to cryptos, im hold the most of the coins, and i almost stopped with day trading. The main reason is i make more money with holding then with day trading.

depending on what you hold, if the bitcoin you hold is better to hold it anytime because many people make bitcoin as their future asset, but if you hold altcoin then day trading is a good thing

In day trading, i found it very stressful and you must be a very experience person in trading because of the short term price fluctuation. Its so hard to predict the coin whether it goes up or down. Hodling is a good strategy if you believe in the project and you think it will have a better future like in bitcoin.

I would choose #HODL than day trading. You know why? It is because day trading is so risky that I could lose a lot of money every day, especially if I am not skilled yet. Even skilled and experienced cryptocurrency traders are making mistakes as well, which costs them a lot of money.

I #HODL most of the assets that I have in my portfolio, and classify them into three (short, mid and long-term) holdings. I just dump because of my instinct or feeling that the token that I have has no clear direction or being inactive for a long while.

Trading or holding, no matter both are gambling. If you have No Strategy then you will get the HOLD Mentality. If you have the confidence then you should trade. If you are a person who won't take a lot of risks, better trade half and hold half. Never invest more than that amount you can't afford to lose.

Day trading is much riskier Job than holding because it needs much effort and time but in holding you no need to any thing other than buying the best currency as per your investment.
But day trading or holding will depends on your needs if you want to make money in short term then day trading is the right thing for you or you just want to make money in long term just buy and hold.

There are people who like day trading, but there are those who like to hold back. Personally, I belong to the second category. As for me, it is better to buy a promising coin and keep it until it at least 3 X does not.

Not to invest for the short time as day trading cannot make you earn high profit, price of bitcoin use to increase and decrease all the time but you have to know the strategy you are trading for, if you want to trade it is good to go for long time trading so you will be able to have good profit it will give you experience to deal with the small time rise and fall of price, so you can be professional trader with very small care of not to sell at low price ever with for long time and make the long time trading if you want to trade instead of investment.

I do bought. I am a really busy person, but if I have a free time I do DAY TRADING. I also HOLD coins that is really promising and I believe that the coin I am holding is really the best for long term specially the active project.

Why not both HOLD and Day Trade?
Day Trade with a small portion of your portfolio in order to learn.

If you see that you have become competent then you can skew more towards day trading.

actually it depends on which one is more profitable if its as it is now at the beginning of the year, better to trade.
because hold coins for now takes about a minimum of 6 months to earn a profit. people who are accustomed to trading usually do not like to wait too long they are looking for exchanges that can be done as quickly as possible and do not like long-term hold.

I think you are misleading somewhere. Brother if someone is not trading, it doesn’t mean he don’t have enough guts to trade. Or by holding, you can’t claim this man have no balls to show up the courage and confidence. No, every person have different set of mind and needs. Strategies always vary from person to person. Some may have tendency to day trade and some may prefer holding.

I have coins in which I have invested and retained for a long time. But I also trade within a day. In my opinion, trading in the day you can earn more money. But it takes a very long time to trade within a day. It is necessary to analyze coins, to study news on these coins, and this requires a lot of time. But it's worth it.
