Facebook has been previously involved in political scandals for the rigged elections in the united states and the involvement of Russia in such situations any more controversies of any level would be detrimental to Facebook's reputation, therefore, it is necessary that Facebook does not promote any content related to bitcoin which has a chance of being fraudulent in nature.

The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.

Actually, I don't think promote on Facebook bring more impact to crypto. Most of the FB users are teenagers and advisors. FB is a little mess playground now

We can't blame if social media like Facebook will have a total ban of crypto ads on their platforms because we already know that there are lots of crypto ads that only lead to scam so i think it's just a right decision by Facebook to stop it. But it seems that it's not fair at all for legit ICOs are affect so we can't also blame these people behind these ICOs to file lawsuit against these social media.

Not really, because if they're against Crypto they will not plan to enter it. Because there are rumors that Facebook plans to get into crypto and made their own token. If its true then it is gonne be big news for crypto because facebook can persuade many people.

Facebook will no longer accept ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with deceiving promotional practices however the decision is not permanent yet and facebook will have to revisit it's rules. My opinion for facebook's statement is that not all cryptocurrencies are deceptive but maybe there were some but in general, there are a lot of good potential altcoins including bitcoin which had proved to world to be true and had achieved greater heights in terms of it's price value and faster transaction services.

In fact, facebook has nothing against bitcoin. Blocking of accounts was carried out for the ICO. At the moment, the discussion of cryptocurrencies is not punished.

I think more likely reason is facing the impact of national policies, because most of the current national policy for ICO is not friendly, so I can't join  facebook bounty thread, it makes me feel sad.

Yes that was true most of the ICO's right now gets ban but the facebook doesn't mean all users of facebook who shares about advertising ICO will get ban it is just the scam ICO's they are the most affected to it and the legit one will not gonna bother about that banning.

Because they believe that Facebook prohibits bitcoin and ICos and other cryptocurrency
The new Facebook policy will not allow announcements of known digital currency exchanges or initial offers of currencies.
Is it to avoid fraud or false advertising? That's why?
Actually I heard that Facebook is gonna release their own coin so they will advertise their own coin while banning other cryptocurrency...After all everyone thinks of their profit only.

Facebook against the advertising of ico, not bitcoin. There are a lot scam ico projects, so social platforms try to safe the money of users.

The huge audience of Facebook provides for the same great responsibility. It is not surprising that all commercial activities with cryptocurrencies entail a lot of checks and restrictions. On the contrary, it looks reasonable.

Who cares about a website that robs your information and sell it to 3rd parties. The are many other websites created for this kind of information like steem and medium.

You do understand that Facebook is very much aware of the recent breach and thus making some move to improve the quality of their security. That's why they are implementing blockchain that may help them close the gap so that Facebook users will be totally comfortable using the services. Yes, I would agree that there that are other websites, but Facebook has far more customers and the no. 1 social media services as of today so it makes sense for them to used blockchain technology and take its full advantage so that everyone will be satisfied.

Facebook started blocking all virtual currency ads including Bitcoin, iCOs and the like. This is part of a policy against fraudulent marketing on this social platform.

People need to take more personal responsibility for their own lives. We wouldn't need as much regulation if people would regulate themselves. No-one can influence me so the answer is no, FB has not influenced me in any of my crypto activity including decisions.

I think it's a good thing to release bitcoin on some social platforms. It can be used as a means of choice to let more people know about Bitcoin and know its value. More people will go to do this project.

Face book said they do not want to encourage fraud and scam as they believe that most of the ICOs are scam. So fortunately the banning of the adverts on face book by all and sundry icos. Now only genuine ico will dare go to face book for advert.
