Hey, Matt. Does BA give BA re-sellers a discount and an extra 25% frequent flyer miles? We get a discount on the equipment yes (lol duh), but all the airfare is 100% out of my pocket. I paid to see them in person because I wanted answers. Harder to dodge when you show up to their office But in all fairness, it was a fairly pleasant set of meetings, lots of things that need to be fixed are hopefully going to start, especially communication. The biggest thing I got off the meeting was they are in this for the long run, not just the minion. EDIT: I WISH I GOT EXTRA MILES. thanks for the update, good to hear they are in it for the long haul

I have just as much exposure as the customers do if not more, due to my legal status as a company etc etc, so I will fight tooth and nail if needed, and they know that.

I wish I could say more, but there are going to be a few surprises. The design is excellent.

If BA wants to play like grown-ups and have an NDA in effect, then they should've raised the capital themselves to begin with instead of de facto crowdfunding.
NDA of any kind with a project like this is completely unacceptable.
Yet is required by Verisilicon, regardless of funding type.

Quick question about the renders, and I do not know anything about what a render means, but they are just questions I had when looking at them.
Where will the Ethernet port be located? Some pictures have it on the front, others have it on the back?
Are those USB ports on the front of some of the renders? What would that be used for?
Some of the renders have a small hole next to the on button, whats that for?
I like the screen and if it shows that information it would be cool, but will there be a way to turn them off? I dont really need 10+ units stacked together each showing the exact same thing.
IDK if there are any answers for this yet, but just some things I was wondering from looking at the pictures.
What is likely, from my experience, is that the people designing the case were given rough dimensions and were told "it's a PC". So what you have here is a bunch of creative ideas/possibilities that have been generated by the case manufacturer and passed onto BA. BA will then either choose one, or choose bits and pieces from all of them and then have more renders made. Once the final design is approved, it gets signed off and sent to production. Mind you, this is just my interpretation having done this type of work in the past.

Are they keeping these "surprises" under wraps for now cuz they don't want their competitors to catch wind?
This doesn't make monetary sense. Hype sells units. This is "suppress" tactics as they missed dates. Just wait, they'll get a working unit, ship a handful and the hype will return as they slowly churn out units (read: BFL). BlackArrow: If you can, as others have insinuated, manufacture the entire backlog in a couple of weeks. DO IT. Build and ship to everyone and have READY product like AntMiner. Selling shovels makes you rich, start building them.

Black Arrow are, so Verisilicon would be more interested in manipulating their own reputation than moving boxes.

That about sums it up...I like the first design. Stackable...I would leave one usb and move any other ports to the back for ease of cable mang. And the hot swap power supply is also nice.

It won't be "hot swap" PSU. Yes, probably one could change it while it is still hot, but not without turning the device off. (Such a thing is possible only with at least two PSUs working in parallel.)

We only care that we are losing money. Also, we have no idea you haven't taken over dz coop and basically perpetuated mass fraud on trusting members of the coop. MATT CARSON, remember that fucking name. If you don't go down with this, I will always stay well clear from you, now and in the future.

Hot Swap? or at least swap-able?

BobSag,
Quick question about the batch 1 minersource customers.. Do we have to do anything special to register for the 25% cloudhashing beginning May1? Are we automatically in the system, or should we go into minersource and sign up for the 4 month rent-a-minion(500 ghs, or whatever 25% is?)with a a promotional code or something? Or is this just part of your paperwork? We at least have to give you payout addresses etc.. I know we have 3 months, and you have plenty going on, so let us know how we can help..

I was a previous BA customer (which can be verified on these forums). We got talking. I went to meet them. They came to meet me. I signed up. I met Matt for the first time this week. No other connection.

Also I would like clarification on what the 25% bonus hashing refers to. People keep saying its 500 GHs for an X-3, but since the chip runs at 120 GHs now, or 2.4 THs per X-3, shouldn't we all be receiving 600GHs per X-3 ordered? this I believe has never been answered, and I would like clarification, because 2 months from now, BA could come out and say they are using the original specifications for this calculation and base it off of the, I believe it was 80 GHs per chip (don't quote me on that), and give us under 500 GHs per X-3 purchased. So some clarification would be nice.
120 is the new top speed of the chip, the nominal speed is still 100 per chip, therefore 1th per X3. And Yeah, never met any of the other resellers until the meeting.... didnt even know we have a AUS reseller until then!
