well if you actually read the article it clearly states "+ MoneroV incorporates the new cryptonight algorithm variation for mitigating ASIC mining. MoneroV is not related to any coin and will have its own (decentralized) development path." soooo it seems that it is ASIC resistant. Well, if you actually read the article, you'd see that it doesn't say "ASIC resistant" anywhere. It says "mitigating ASIC mining", which is what this PoW update was for. It stopped existing ASICs from mining new blocks, but it doesn't stop anybody making another.

Some people are saying it is not asic resistant because the changes they made to the algo isnt enough because the manufacturers can easily create another asic for the new algo. But right now there is no "KNOWN" asic machine for the new algo so they are saying it is asic resistant. That is why they are proposing to change the algo every 6 months or so to deter the asic manufacturers from making an asic for this.
Is your pool officialy announced by MoneroV team? Maybe get in touch with them on the telegram Thanks, will do.

Seems like HitBTC doesn't allow any more deposits for XMR for the moment, so we can't claim the fork there. I am going for OkEx now, or would anyone suggest another exchange? At the moment I have my coins on mymonero

When exactly can we expect the XMV credit to happen? How long will it take until we receive the coins?

Hello is there any news with binance or kraken?
No, highly doubt those 2 will support this fork.

If you look at the System Health on HitBTC you can see that the XMR wallet is open not only for withdrawals but deposits to. Anyway, if you want XMR on HitBTC then just send Bitcoin (or some other coin) there and buy XMR.

This looks interesting, seems to be taking a different direction from all the recent Monero Fork. Added to my radar!

If your XMR at Hitbtc then you don't need to do anything. They'll credit your account with XMV sometime after fork block has passed. The did this successfully earlier this month with XMO, and it was very smooth and quick

Will it be available for Cryptopia users? Withdrawals are delayed up to 50 days according to other Cryptopia users, so I may not be able to get my coins out in time....

You all need to be aware that HitBtc can be a pain in the ass to get your coins out. Sometimes it works nicely, sometimes....
