when hitbtc???/

My hitbtc.com source says next week (21th - 25th May)

Is there any other exchange that is willing to list MoneroV? Or it is not going to happen?

Official HitBTC subreddit is credible enough, my sources speculate on the date.

Mining Monero V XMR

Easiest way to get a XMR wallet address for mining is goto
https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_XMV&ref=1048

Mining Pool that supports mining to integrated address
https://cryptoknight.cc/monerov/

this will help to aviod the need to generate XMR address with GUI or CLI wallet
and avoid downloading of the entire blockchain (1.5+ million blocks which could take a few days!)

Check out the XMR Price at
https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_XMV&ref=1048

Thanks! This is so much easier.

Yeah, I've seen the thread, but they are not responding for the past 2 days..
Is it two days ahead or 2 weeks though, lol?

That's what I understand, not sure though.

According to HitBTC you are okay with just having the xmr at the time of the snpashot..

How come there is a miner in the monerovD daemon?

Please clarify.

This is not the case for the monero wallet so it has nothing to do with functionality.

It is exactly the case as with Monero, you can mine via the wallet.
You are getting a false positive.

Not really. Also Monero Wallet isn't using 50% cpu while "syncing"

There definitely is not a miner in monerovd.exe. Mine rarely uses more than 0.2% CPU.

Anyway, I have finally synced 93% of the blockchain. It took 4 days to get to this point. I have my suspicions that I am being throttled by my ISP, since my 15 mbps connection slows to a crawl even though monerovd rarely uses more than 1-2 mbps. This happens when syncing blockchains for other coins as well, so it isn't just MoneroV.

When syncing is done (it's a big and long process... big blockchain!) the CPU usage is normal: almost 0% like Blazin said Smiley

How can you guys claim to have "finite coin supply" when there is a perpetual tail emission of 0.3 XMV per block? https://github.com/monerov/monerov/blob/d3cd9144a1b824aeeb4e2334cf086c962b83f26e/src/cryptonote_config.h#L58
