Surely you already know this

Litecoin is a testet for bitcoin, this is its main purpose
All Bitcoin upgrades first appear on the Litecoin network

And Ripple is not a cryptocurrency at all, because it is centralized

It seems to me that LTC is now a more promising coin than ripple. LTC has a lot of good news and pleasant events in the future.

my personal opinion for ripple .
i ever use them and fee its a bit high . 1 ripple for fastest transaction fee  Huh

Ltc
the fee sems good . and coin its already popular from old time .
and coin distribution not really much to reach more price .

so you can choose the type coin you think and analyze what a coin will potential from my opinion.

Litecoin and Ripple both are popular altcoin but Litecoins price is so high now. I suggest you for buy Ripple and hold it in your wallet.
Ripple has the fourth largest market capitalization within the cryptocurrency space standing at 19 billion dollars. So I think Ripple is more profitable altcoin for us.

now it difficult to say what crypto is better. litecoin growing up faster, but maybe it will down soon. and ripple more stability. so, it seems that litecoin is better for trading and repple is better for hold - in ourdays.

I think, for the long term, ripple has more potential. Even the Western Union was experimenting with it, so, I think it's one of the coins people might actually start using in the future.

I am supporter of both coins. I have investments in both coins. But I think Litecoin is a better option, because of all the crap people are trowing at Ripple.

Sincerely both have huge potentials to surprise us all in the Cryptos world. But I will take Ltc over Xrp to go all the way especially this year. For me the highest Xrp can go is $3 while Ltc can make still make $10 looking at what surrounds and factors that comes into play as per comparing and contrasting both coins.

Ripple (XRP) is the name for both a digital currency (XRP) and an open payment network within which that currency is transferred. It is a distributed, open-source payments system that's still in beta. The goal of the ripple system, according to its website, is to enable people to break free of the "walled gardens" of financial networks - i.e., credit cards, banks, PayPal and other institutions that restrict access with fees, charges for currency exchanges and processing delays.

Upcoming news

- Financial services provider Western Union (WU) is testing transactions with the use of Ripple’s (XRP) Blockchain-based settlement system
- Coinsquare (Canadian Coinbase) adding Ripple selling pair in February.
- Ripple will be at Money20/20 Asia in Singapore this March. Event will be on March 13-15, 2018.
- New exchange CoinField now offers Ripple XRP as XRP/CAD & XRP/BTC

Important partnerships
Ripple (XRP) has over 100 partnerships and more still to come as mainstream finance institutions are eager to embrace Ripple and its blockchain - RippleNet. Some of these partnerships include:

- IDT Corporation & MercuryFX will now use xRapid to quickly settle retail remittances
- Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) partners with Ripple to Offer Pilot Program for Saudi Banks
- LianLian Internationa Joins RippleNet to Provide Faster Payments into Chinal
- MoneyGram to Use XRP for Faster International Payments
- Mexican non-bank financial services firm Cuallix teams up with Ripple to lower the cost of payments from the U.S. to Mexico

i prefer Litecoin because Litecoin has a cap of 84 million units and it’s decentralized.
Ripple has no cap on units, making it inflationary, and is controlled by the banks. and Litecoin will bring you profits too, but I don’t see anything that can bring it higher than 1000$ before Summer.
Up to $1000 will not grow Litecoin. It's just a copy of Bitcoin, what are its prospects? Ripple, although very many coins, but the prospects for application are much higher, it will really be applicable in the banking sector.

but although it will not grow to reach $ 1000 litecoin currently has a good price and is suitable for short-term traders. is currently benefiting from a very nice litecoin rather than a ripple.

Ripple is a great choice, because Ripple beat Ethereum and it will happen again. so Ripple is better than Litecoin.

Both of them are great,  one of the litecoin downside is lack of support, if litecoin got backed up by big companies then definitely I choose ltc, its way older than xrp and able to survive in a lot of pressure, for now xrp is better than ltc because it got support of banking, so if you want to invest for long term xrp is more secure

I think ripple is much better than litecoin. Ripple is adopted by a lot of banks, and will have more and more bank adopted it.

But as I said before, litecoin is just a copy of bitcoin. I don't it has some value.

I made little money on both of them and would stay out of them in short term. Litecoin seems to have a stronger dev team and well supported by investors. In cryptos, volume speaks a lot. Litecoin is dominating the volume game when compared with Ripple.

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.

between the two, which one would you invest in and why?
I always think that if you want to trade, it is best to trade the following two kinds of coins.
One is the most widely circulated and the other is what you think is the best coin, even if it is likely to return to zero.
The two kinds of coins you are proposing now should belong to the first type I think, the most promising one, but I will not buy these two kinds of coins. Instead, I will buy bitcoin or ETH.

i prefer litecoin over ripple. litecoin price was increasing last week.
i heard there will be litecoin fork, is that true ? maybe that is the reason why litecoin price increased.
