Axie Infinity is a game about collecting and raising fantasy creatures called Axie, on Ethereum platform. Besides collecting and raising, you can make a team of Axies to battle in arena. You can also buy, sell, and trade Axies with others on marketplace.

Yea, sadly they do, but that's just a general problem of the Ethereum network at the moment, pretty much anything that generates big traffic slows it down. On the other hand, this is also a big barrier for games that run on the blockchain, I'm sure they'll get to another level once the network starts scaling better.

I don't think you would get any answer of your question here mate. as I can tell this thread was posted by a third person. it is not their official ANN thread (i don't know if they have one or not) you better try finding their official thread and post your question there. or you can directly approach them through telegram or discord.

I checked the CryptoKitties, yes it is quite similar, but the graphics of this game (i checked it before) its flawless. The thing that I love with the team is that they take their time and wait for the right moment to enter the market, assuming they jump into the space in 2017-2018 ICO era, I don't think the project would have received the level of acceptance it has now and also when you see funds like Three Arrows investing into a project, you need to have a second look at the project

AXS is for investors that doesnt really want to play the game. If you buy the AXS you will earn a percentage of the trading fees happening in the axie marketplace. Its like a passive income and who knows maybe they will add more benefits in the future for the AXS tokenholder.

The gas price is high. This may screen out potential transactioners and pretty much bring down the economics of the ecosystem. Ronin is a coin made in a shitter with splashes of liquid feces, how can Ronin be of relevance to this community? U guys think AXIE uses Ronin technology to secure its ticket in a moon shuttle whereas the quick assay of the situation implies that its the other way around. AXIE coin is milked out of its developments and features by vampire attack carried out by samurai from Ronin's ass.

SLP had a huge run up and pumped the price so earning potential got bigger, at the same time with Ronin (their sidechain launch) transactions got cheaper and more axies are being bred and scholarship programs are growing a lot.

I fear that these games like Cyptokitties and the trading of meme coins is responsible for the congestion in the ETH network and the high fees. you are actually wrong about Axie, since they migrate to Layer-2 blockchain, Ronin, which is on top of Ethereum, and does not make a network congestion at all, it is processing transactions on their own, just secure it through Ethereum blockchain

Axie is actually getting really big, I bought some AXS few months ago, and it is rising steady, while waiting for airdrop to happen, snapshot was somewhere in October, and airdrop should happen these days

they are pumping after 3 years of development, including working when nobody cared about NFTs, ethereum and blockchain games

this link is wrong, as of months ago axie has migrated to Ronin so they're not on opensea anymore, you can't buy these axies there.

The migration to Ronin is very well strategy of Axie Infinity because they can not totally rely on Ethereum and Vitalik for their products. Axie Infinity grows too fast and it has huge marketcap after the institutional investment from A16Z. If you have $10k or $20k and do such big transactions, transaction fee on Ethereum network is not a big matter with you. However, not all crypto users are rich like that and they have to consider other chains with cheaper transaction fees.

If you read the Axie website they seem to still be active. I wonder if it is possible to migrate a game to lets say Polygon. Blockchain games can be very popular and successful but can also cause congestion like Sunflower Farms. Poor decision in my view to have chosen ETH back then and maybe that is why interest is less now. Having said that 2.8m active players is not bad.

They are running on Ronin now built by Sky Mavis and are doing good. No point in migrating to Polygon when they are doing fine on Ronin, it would just be a waste of resources.

I wish this was my project, but it is not. You participate by buying one of axie(best, aquatic or plant), when the game launches in like 20 days you'll be able to breed with it, fight other players or sell it on the marketplace for a higher price since it will be unique.

Axie Infinity make serious changes in their Play to Earn mode in order to balance their game economy and I agree with them. It will bring more challenge to new investors, gamers to get in, reach to break-even and get profit. However, for old and early gamers, they don't complain because indeed they got a lot of profit from this game already. I know not all of them have gotten rich with Axie because they would have earned a lot in early months of this game but they also very probably to sold their reward at very low price.

Anyway, balancing the game economy is good for growth of the project in long run.

If there is no earning from the game, you might play it for fun. If it is a play to earn game, you will play it for both. It's better for gamers to play and earn. It's better to play on-chain games with some kind of initial capital and have earnings. Axie Infinity changed lives of many people in South East Asia or Latin America but not all of them are happy with Axie games. It is life, one win, another lose. They will make SLP deflationary by stop rewarding it in PvE and burn this token. People and the market are hyped on the news and this change. So many bots played adventures forced the developers to remove the adventures from the game. You're playing in a pay to earn game and the developer can force to give a change to the game anytime as they want. So many bots played adventures forced the developers to remove the adventures from the game. I have seen that since that day people are only focusing to earn from the arena but again the price of SLP is so low. You need to win every battle to get decent amounts of SLP. 

The success of a game is not too important. The success of a whole in-game ecosystem and the health of its in-game economy are more important. Because no matter how good a game is, it can not attract new gamers forever at a same growth rate. So whenever the growth rate decreases, it will bring negative effects on in-game economy if it mostly relies on linear user growth rate in order to balance the in-game economy.

This approach is unsustainable so that Axie Infinity team are trying to do something to change and fix it. As observers, we can see the growth of Axie Infinity ecosystem already is slow down, temporarily peaked at growth rate.

However, survive and be able to recover are different. Recover and reclaim all time high are different. I know the Sky Marvis and Axie Infinity are very strong and they are genius. They built it up from last bear market and they can build up something in this bear market too.

I believe if they can build a new successful product that moves out of Play to Earn, they will be able to reclaim their all time high. It is not easy.

A new chapter of Ronin bridge begins and it lifts price of AXS and SLP up a lot days ago. It is good for short term rally but in future, Axie Inifity team must rework with their products and adjust their game economy. It is not an easy math for them to handle but they must figure it out. Yeah, it's all about the PR and they did well on that. But about the actual thing and updates, they really never sent the best ones that have been suggested to them when they're still at their peak.
Well, there are still some players in there because of the ranking rewards but if they change that soon and they keep on delaying it then for sure that those players will leave unless they are really eager to play the game.
