Ico's at times get termed to be a scam, and most of the time it happens due to lack of funding and most of the time some ico gets delay in the listing to exchanges. In this manner some users term airdrop as scams, but not everyone were the scams. Some people easily get lucky to get into the best, whereas few get caught in the trap scams.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I have never participated in scam ico project. Yes, some are still cheaper than ico, but they are working on their projects. Maybe I just got lucky.

Crypto currency in many ways resemble a pyramid. But in this kind of economy, people also earn money. Maybe there are scammers.
I agree, and I could also think about everything in the financial market as pyramids too. One person gains and others lose. But as long as the system is self sustaining, the pyramid could go so high beyond the horizon.

Although ICO project investing is really risky but I don't think it's too risky like that ). IMO I think at least 30 or 40% of ICO projects are legit and truthworthy, number of scam ICO project is really great but I think it can survive too long cause ICO investors for now have a lot of knowledge and experience in ICO investing so they can stay away from scam project to protect their money .

The same news I've been with in this year if almost 90% ico scam. but I think there is still a good ico and has quality even though we have to be more selective towards everything and we have to be optimistic with the ico.

90% is a very big number..But not all of them are meant to be fraudulent.. Some are not successful..Investors need to be cautious to understand fraud.. They should do research to their finest detail.

We all know that investing in ICO involve high risk but it is not up to 90%. Let us make positive statement about ICO because we are all benefiting from ICO through bounty rewards.

That's right, now we have to be careful to choose and invest in ICO so we do not get fooled. Before we choose and follow ICO we need to know details about the ICO.

I do not think that such a large percentage of projects are scammers. It seems to me that there are many more good and promising projects. This is an inaccurate statistic.

It is very bad truth in cryptoworld that some of icos are really frauds. I remember something called symmetryfund basicaly went off after getting thousands of Ethereum invested. There are even more tokens.
And the worst thing is that if those scammers actually put the effort to try to build something they could earn a lot more money than what they could earn with their scams and the best thing is that everything will be legitimate and they will not be afraid that someday the justice system is going to catch up to them and it is going to put them in jail for the rest of their lives.

The founder of ETHEREUM said that over 90% of ICOs are scams. By participating in an ICO, you give your money to a project that probably will never happen. Every day a new ICO comes out ... but what surprises me is that many people invest their savings in these very high risk projects. I think it is much better to invest in real projects already listed on the stock exchange .... of which you know everything well ... For example, BANKERA looks like an ICO scam .....
I think this statement is not correct maybe high percentage of ICO failed not scam. I think the truth is 90% of people speculate that the ICO's are scam. For example base on deterministic theory, we can determine if a volcano should be erupt but we cannot predict the exact time of the eruption. That means we know that some ICOs are not be getting successful but we take a risk of them because we cannot predict whether our speculation are false.

Yes most of ICO are scam. You need to research about the team and about the project. Don't invest blindly.

We can't say %90 of ico are scam it is not true. They are not fake, they are just not built on a legit idea. Also, the 10% is legit worth pretty much. These basically startups but getting crowdfunded through ICO. Make a good research about the ICO's team. You can understand it from there.

I agree that there's a lot of scam ico that we can see each day however it is very hard distinguish which is good or bad. As we always say do a research about it to ensure that our money is in good hands. But I do have some arguments about some saying that a project is a scam. Some will say that it is a scam if the value will not go up to desired token value, some will say that it is a scam if there's an issue or delay in launching of platform, and even some will say that it is a scam if the token will not be listed on top exchanges. By the end of the day, this is hard earned money that we are talking that's why let's be mindful in investing to an ICO.

Yeah, I agree. I also think that eg Signals and Bethereum are pretty cool. They both have an alpha version of their application you can test, so no vaporware here, that's a good sign I'd say. I generally have more faith in projects that already have a product or at least some version of it.

Good/bad is one thing. And depends on the criteria, but as far as scam goes I believe, that scam is if they just want to raise money (usually an unreasonable amount) and then they take off, or stop working on a project or simply made an ICO to make money, but have no intention of sticking with the project and making it work. Simply if the money is the only object ad the product is there just to bait you. And people should take more care to distinguish a scam from a simply a bad project. The difference between a scam and a bad ICO is pretty much the intention.

That is also a scam imho, because if you make an ICO based on shit idea than you know its a shit idea (in most cases) and you only did it to make money, not to create something valuable.
