Ixcoin (IXC) merge-mining with Bitcoin – now open to small miners, paid straight to your own IXC addressHi all, Andy here from
sha256-mining, a small solo pool for Bitaxes and home miners.
Ixcoin is now merge-mined on the pool alongside Bitcoin. Point a miner at port 3402, and every hash works on Bitcoin and Ixcoin at the same time, plus several other AuxPoW coins.
What's differentThe official Ixcoin node only offers getauxblock, which always pays the node's own wallet. So we added createauxblock/submitauxblock to our node. It's an RPC-only change, with no consensus change and identical blocks. The result is that each member's Ixcoin blocks pay
directly to their own IXC address in the coinbase. Non-custodial: the pool never holds anyone's coins.

sha256-miningOur node also keeps an Ixcoin peer up for the network. It's early days, so feedback and bug reports are very welcome here or on the Q&A forum linked on the site.
