How is this guy staking 1500 HBN per stake? I thought there was a limit of 250

http://coins.dognose.net:3011/block/6781adc14fa2fbd45016860bae47f7dd43cf67904c8c977abb03e4ec3f8a79e7

Hi
Thanks for setting up a new block explorer.
I think your explorer is not doing the PoS handle correctly yet.

According to me, the block 6710608 was mined with PoS and generated 9.563784 HBN.
1460.27161700 HBN were used as staking amount by the node as seen in transaction 06ab865562e62b70b4769b96ed242c05f740d8ab3fb05e75357935a93418ef07

The staking amount and the generated PoS amount were combined to
1469.835401 HBN and paid to Exo1y1UMU5nJ8NBBRcyzXzbGaam in transaction a8abb4867db6052a03414da8b163c14389f095f3941876d3462624d69fcbfa75

https://hobonickels.dyndns.org/block/6781adc14fa2fbd45016860bae47f7dd43cf67904c8c977abb03e4ec3f8a79e7

Please correct me if I'm wrong.  Smiley

4.6MM HBN 3.6% is quite the bag!
Considering the next nearest 4MM+ wallet has been inactive since 2018! (Cryptopia?)

hard to say about who owns that huge amount of coins...

just visiting the thread to see what's new with this. was heavily trading this coin way back in 2015. lucky that they are still alive but they are barely surviving in trading. don't know if they can survive for another couple of years.

@lightspeedy, what are the activities in the pipeline that you think can sustain the existence of hobo?

It would be absolutely wonderful to find out how to put these older staking coins on a DEX.  Then it seems all problems are solved.  I think building an explorer is easy enough for a lot of people.

Primarily the activity of the development and the community will secure survival.
I have set up some activities in the years to keep the project alive. But this will not withstand the duration.

The PoS-Algo has some flaws and the issue of new coins is too fast.
There must be a bugfix.

There are some way to continue the project. But we need a developer that can to the changes.

As seen in the Twitter contributions, we are officially looking for a developer, since Tranz has not shown up for a long time now.

As I said, I do not want to decide for the community as it is an open source project and does not belong to me.
The decision at the end must be carried out in the consensus with the community.

If you know a developer, just ask him for help. I'm sure, the community will pay him for updating the blockchain.
Every help is welcome.

Thanks

Yes, maybe this can be done with a bridge development.

My hope is to have more people stake more coins like HBN.  I believe it's one of the real opportunities in the world today to stake crypto but it depends on teamwork and evangelizing the coin.

There

Been staking it for about two years now.  I get a lot of stakes and then I want to sell some so I sell a small amount and then the staking seems to stop.  I'm not sure how long it would stay stopped, if that's written into the code somehow, but the amount I sell is very tiny in the overall balance.  But it scares me that I don't get a stake for 4 days or more and then I buy more.  The buying more over and over again to get stakes means that the balance may even be negative for staking it.  I have 44K coins.

If you want to improve this situation, sell some coins to the buy orders.  It won't crash the price unless you do. It can be controlled.

that is a summary of the block which will only display the total value of a transaction.
for transaction details click on the transaction id,

depending on which page you are viewing, the tiny white circle icon with just the letter "i" will display the raw block or transaction
information.

I have many years of programming experience.   I've run ParaMind Brainstorming Software since 1992 and did the final compilations in C++.  I had moved onto other things that had nothing to do with software but have been slowing getting back into it.

You cannot get anywhere if you don't discuss.

This site is acting weird with verfication.  I wanted to edit my post.

That link was just an example of more terms to search on.

If you search on bridge development dex you get better pages.

Obviously, ERC tokens would be an expensive route, but some of the other new chains that are easier to set up than BNB could work.

The medium.com post sound good, unfortunately the post is from 2018 and their website is down as well.

ERC token is a money burner to interact with it.
A bridge solution could work with a 2nd layer to minimize the expenses for transactions. Or even lay the focus on other chains like BNB or even THETA etc.

i actually came here to complain about your listing on cmc but now that i'm digging around in here it looks like you might not have access ...are you still in contact with tranz at all? it would have made my life a lot more simple if #1 there was a discord link assc with the community button
#2 the website link was changed to the .io address ...the .info site has security issues that need to be updated and was a deterrent
also ...the discord is super spammy, it would be nice if you adjusted the invite requirements to disallow bots

just one more note: on hobotoken.com on the last faq: it should read "conversion" Not "conversation"

don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining ...totally interested to watch this project.

one point i'm confused on, what are the requirements to run a node? the site made it look like all you had to do was run your wallet? Huh

Hi bisky

Thank you very much for your engagement and suggestions! It's much appreciated.

Let me answer your questions:
1# We would like to Tranz coming back and pickup the project. But the last post was from October 18, 2019 and he told us the future is uncertain because he does not have the time. The last online time on bitcointalk was on January 14, 2020

2# Due the outdated .info website we decided to build a new .io website, to promote new developments and have access the community. The worst thin in crypto is an outdated website with security issues..

3# Regarding the spammy Discord channel, I agree with you and like to move to a new Discord channel where we have full access and we are able to
develop and care. It would be good if there where several admins as well. https://discord.gg/k6BTnSd8TV
I will replace this new Discord link on all sites where I have access to.

4# Thanks for the typo hint on the FAQ of hobotoken.com

5# Yes, you can stake HBN with the wallet node alone. Just buy some HBN and stake away with you wallet. :-)
I'm happy to read your question and not see this as complaining.  Cheesy
I hope you have some more questions?

Hi bisky
Thanks for sharing this as well.

I've just investigated the Blocknet DX and checked all requirements for listing HBN.
Unfortunately HBN wont work on Blocknet DX, because the current HBN wallet (HoboNickels-2.0.1.0) does not support CLTV Atomic Swaps.
We don't get around to update the wallet.

We need to recompile the wallet with this CLTV code library:

https://bcoin.io/guides/swaps.html

From:
https://komodoplatform.com/en/academy/atomic-swaps/

"The first is a command in the Bitcoin Script known as OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY (CLTV). This command was not present in the original Bitcoin code but was added later through what’s known as a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP). BIPs are numbered chronologically and the proposal that added CLTV to the Bitcoin codebase is known as BIP-65, which was accepted at the end of October 2015."

Not sure what other functions would have to change to allow it to have this new functionality.

This bcoin.io site demonstrates well the swap function in JavaScript. We should be able to compile the wallet, if we find the code in C++
I've checked the Litecoin repo on Github to get an idea of the swap function, unfortunately I couldn't find any related info on swaps.
It is not documented in the code  Huh

Every help is appreciated.
