One thing is for sure, I do not agree with that, however cryptocurrency is just a medium of exchange like money. not the right thing if cryptocurrency is blamed for its use.

Long before bitcoin, fiat money is used as a medium of exchange even for criminal activity. then, there is the Internet that connects the perpetrators of crime and the number of negative content available on the Internet such as pornography, etc.

In conclusion, cryptocurrency is the same as money or internet. they are only media, as for its use is the responsibility of its users.

THERE IS NO DIRECT LINK BETWEEN DEATH AND CRYPTO. there is no record of anyone getting killed by any crypto, there might be indirect incidences where courses of death is crypto related, like devastating losses but nothing direct.

Ive read an article about Bill Gates saying that cryptocurrencies kills people. He explained that crypto provokes people to hide thier financial transactions from the government, and revolutionizing terrorism, financial crime etc. Some people use crypto to buy drugs, bombs, guns that are use for drug dealing and terrorism that kills people 'in a fairly direct way'

I think Gates is somehow right about this. But i think it depends on the people who are using cryptocurrency, if they will use it in a good way or in a bad way. What do you think?

that's right, but this happens with all the new discoveries and inventions. when people split the atom, they were thinking about the energy that could help, but what did we get? nuclear weapon. so i don't think that blockchains or bitcoin or crypto world in general are responsible for murders.. it's just in some people's nature.. killing.

This is where the role of the government to make the regulation, if not able to hold it then there must be an MOU to create regulations that apply globally, this rule can not if intended for one country because it will disrupt the economic equation. for example for Venezuela which is endemic to narcotics, on the other they also have to rise from the economic downturn, then their crypto rules are only adapted for their own country, this will make the global ecosystem become not one way.

A great way to be tried by all countries to generate a profit and reduce the losses that will have a major impact on the world.

I am wondering if this is the reason why cryptocurrencies will never be accepted worldwide as a form or payment.

   What BillGates said is true. We can not deny it. But we need to know. Bitcoin was not produced for illegal use. Because of the features that Bitcoin has, people use it illegally. E.g; gunpowder was not found to kill people. But people use gunpowder to kill each other. If you use it in useful work, gunpowder is a perfect invention. It's the same on Bitcoin. The fact that people use it for bad purposes does not mean that Bitcoin is bad.
   These rumors are completely empty. Some people can criticize Bitcoin. Some people are talking because they do not know. Some people are raising such rumors to lower the value of Bitcoin.

No some people thinks that cryptocurrency is a scam. But they dont really know the cryptocurrency can help some poor people to become rich. I'll agree with mr Gates to some extent, but you shouldn't blame the technology for people misusing it. Good technology is always abused and turned destructive, Oil kills people, gold kill people, diamond kills people, so we should not weigh disadvantages over the advantages which cryptocurrency has brought us

95% of illegal transactions are made with fiat, not cryptocurrencies. No one is using crypto to buy drugs and other illegal stuff except maybe Monero or other privacy coins.
