I forgot about this thread. What a blast from the past.

I have a new regret. My wife just reminded me about the cheap boots I got her as a part of a party costume when I told her btc was over $1,000 again.

I used to talk this guy named Jeremy West on the forum, way back when, and he convinced me to use a service he started called Spendbitcoins. They sold Amazon gift cards for btc. I tried his service and bought a little gift card to buy my wife some cheap high top costume boots to wear at a party we were going to attend. She only wore them once. At today's exchange rate those flimsy cheap vinyl boots cost $7,800. FmyLife

I guess the lesson is to replace bitcoins if you spend them? 😀  At least that isn't as bad as the $20 million pizzas.

Besides not getting one earlier when its cheap . It is probably spending bitcoins like I'm shopping instead of keeping it . I should just spend my cash instead of bitcoin since its price fluctuates a lot .

There are also some small losses in gambling that if you put that all together, I guess the amount will be useful for trading . But I don't regret it that much .

What are some of your biggest bitcoin regrets, and what were you thinking back then?

Besides "not getting in sooner"  Grin

Obligatory: BFL  Tongue

EDIT: Bitcoin "mistakes" go here =)

what I regret the most is that I do not have much money to buy and hold bitcoins.
If I had 100,000$ in my bank account, I would send 90,000$ for buying bitcoin for long term.

my regret is that I was not introduced to bitcoin in the earlier years so maybe if I knew bitcoin since a year ago I could have save a lot up to now also I regretted that I converted all my past earnings from the past I have no choice but to do it so as I really need an extra money so badly Grin

I ignored BTC as some sort of scam back in 2012.
Started following it from Sep. 2016 and bought some.
I again bought some in Nov.2016 just before this explosion to the upside.
I regret that I ignored in 2012 and also did not buy enough back in sep. 2016

I would have to say my largest regret is that I have anot saved any of my bitcoin.  I have spent them in stupid places and now I have nothing unless I earn more or buy some.  Sad day!

The only regrets I have is just one and that is just the fact that I didnt find my way into the world of bitcoin earlier than now even though  I had more ample opportunity to have been exposed to it but as a result of laziness I lost the chance.

Never getting in when I registered at this forum... Didn't know faucets existed, although I used my time to find value elsewhere.

Despite how it looks today, what you do to take it elsewhere will surely do much good at curing the pain of losses. Don't ever look back, one day you'll find what is needed to remain ahead.

I also regret for that, but I did not buy stupid things for my bitcoins. I just bought some needs, so I did not have left bitcoin to be saved. besides, I was too terrify if bitcoin price would go down, so I did not have chance to convert it to fiat in high price. so I converted is as soon as possible when I got it.

Well my biggest regrets would be using my bitcoin on gambling and on some ponzi investment sites. Actually i lost lots of them on those two. And end up losing all of my bitcoin. But now, I've overcome it already and ended those things long ago.

Sure wish I had replaced them but at the time I was mining on 30 computers with more than 60 hd 5970s and sitting on more than 2k btc. In my mind I was replacing them every day in the garage.

This is what Bitcoin mining used to look like

Those were fun days, cramming as many gpu's on a motherboard as it could handle, haha.

At today's exchange rate those flimsy cheap vinyl boots cost $7,800. FmyLife

I guess the lesson is to replace bitcoins if you spend them? 😀  At least that isn't as bad as the $20 million pizzas.
Well then why y'all spend 'em in the 1st place?  Thet there never made no sense ta me.  An' muh biggist regret is not gettin' in onna groun' floor back when bitcoin was acomin' up.  But lots o' people is in the same perdickament, so I don't feel so bad.  I jist din't hear 'bout it until waaay afta the 1st boom in 2013.  An' then t'other regret is dat I din't buy mo' when we was at 400 for a minute.  Butchoo cannot predict tha future.  Thas true now an' it was true when we was stunk at 400.  Imma jist hold onta what I gots now.

My biggest regrets is I discover bitcoin when it is only 200$+ and I dind't invest Sad Si now I am starting all over again and make this year full of profit. I am hoping that I can invest when the price of the bitcoin goes down. And start trading when it neutralize. I hope It will be sooner.

Dump my bitcoins when it was 800. I thought it will go down back it shoot straight up.

That's not a big mistake, you might have used it for some emergency or something useful. With me, I too feel like most users who think they were introduced late to bitcoin. I believe, if I were explained during those days of existence I could have never considered it. Anyhow happy, at least now I was with it. Early adopters are the most successful persons with bitcoin.
