Is Monero a Good Investment?

I invested about 20% of my crypto portfolio in Monero as i also thought it has a huge potential in terms of privacy - and I think there is a huge demand for anonymity in the internet, no matter what origin (good or evil) it belongs. I suppose that it's a worthy investment.

I did not buy or mine the monero at all. We need to check the best coin according to your portfolio you have about the coin investment. To speak about the historical growth of this coin we do not need to worry about this coin at all.
We can invest on this coin if we are looking for the long term or short term anything upon your wish but profitable in both.

I am concerned about Monero's fees if the price gets too high. They aren't very low right now as it is.
However, I still like Monero and I think it's a very safe investment if nothing else. It's my third largest holding.

And, also their price have not big progress as the others.
Based on CoinMarketCap, Link : https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero/ you can see the price after pumped just around 200-400 USD.
So, i dont think this Monero will give high profit as Ethereum Does.

Monero is still the most solid privacy coin you can get your hands on. Personally I opted for a PIVX holding due to lower marketcap, but if you ask me Monero is the best choice out if the Top20.

All I have in my wallet is Monero and I hope to get high return from my investment in XMR cause it's indeed a good choice. It's one of the few coins with a genuinely great community, level-headed devs, and a proven track record of doing just what it says it does. Its shortcomings will be addressed soon with multisig wallets, bulletproofs, subaddresses, and eventually Kovri.

Personally, I really don't see monero as a better investments to other all alternative coin. With your theory, you can't make all your decision with the anonymous in dark investnent, you have to juxtapose every other theories to make your decision.

Monero is definitely a good investment, it is the "anonymous cryptocurrency" par excellence, a very good project and an excellent community. It has grown a lot since last year but I think it can still give a lot of satisfaction

I think so, Monero is a good investment. Anonymity is what is required now and will always be required. I have invested a small amount of money in a monero before this big correction. Now I think that i need to buy more of these coins.

Yes, I think so. ICO's and simple tokens are great and worse features of Eth. But they give more capitalisation and operation fields for this blockchain. But XMR has one function - transfer value

I recently started researching in altcoin and I tried to figure out which other altcoin is more used in sending money online (I think a traded currency shows that the currency will resist in the future and will grow) and I came to the conclusion that Monero is that coin.


Why Monero? I think it's pretty simple, Monero because I saw that everyone from the dark web asks for payments in Monero, and this leads me to think that Monero would be a good investment now because from what I understand, even Bitcoin has first massively traded on the dark web, and Monero came as a more anonymous alternative to the dark web and so it replaced the bitcoin there.

So, as the title of this thread says: Is Monero a Good Investment?

I have presented my theory, but what do you think?

Please expose your opinion to help me in making the final decision whether to invest my money in Monero or not.

And you will see how useful Monero is. I just dont understand optimism of Andreas to make Bitcoin fungible as it is Monero. I give to that 0.1% chance in next 10 years.

If you look at Monero charts, you will see that last time this is the coolest altcoin to invest into - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero/. However, as the cryptomarket is too volatile, nobody knows if this coin will be gaining further.

Monero is a good and the most reliable coin for a long-term investment and established himself in the top 10 digital currencies with largest market cap.
And the team behind this coin is very active and there is also a strong community support with it.

The only thing I fear about holding xmr is government interference.
I'm convinced that none of these control freaks will allow this much financial freedom and privacy onto their citizens.
The first thing they are going to critize about coins such as monero will be the inevitable use case for terrorists and other criminals. Mainstream media will amplify their opinion and the general public is just going to accept it.
I really like the coin and am all for giving freedoms to people but this is my biggest concern .

Yes I believe it also s a good investment. Many of the darknet markets have moved towards Monero and gave it it's value in the process. Another is the privacy feature is an added value in itself. It has also established itself in the top 10 cryptocurrencies with the largest market cap.
It has a also a strong and steadily growing community that supports it.
So I believe that it is one of the best coins at present, and investing in it is a wise decision.

I do not see anything special in Monero, which makes this coin attractive for investors. Perhaps, I am mistaken, but Monero has no prerequisites for increasing the rate.
